That's too bad. Sorry to hear about this.
Water had to be involved.
Dreadful tragedy...my condolences to the families and the BSA.
I heard on local news that a power line fell on the tent they were in.
Oh, no. Prayers for all involved...
not necessarily. Not if GFCI were used.
Good call IMO. Safety issues...
They died in service to their country, preparing young men for leadership; as sure as those who go on to serve in the U.S. military.

By MICHAEL FELBERBAUM, Associated Press Writer
BOWLING GREEN, Va. - Five Scout leaders were killed Monday afternoon in an electrical accident during the opening day of the Boy Scouts of America's annual Jamboree.
Jamboree spokesman Gregg Shields said the accident occurred between 4:30 and 5 p.m. in a campground. He did not have additional details about the deaths, including the victims' names.
One other leader and a contract worker were injured, he said. They were hospitalized in stable condition.
More than 40,000 Boy Scouts, leaders and volunteers from around the world are attending the 2005 National Scout Jamboree, being held the Army's Fort AP Hill.
I just heard this on the radio........
Just sad.
GFCI is a good safety device. I suspect ground fault connection was not in place in this instance. It was likely in a unique or unusual setting or demonstration.
One other leader and a contract worker were injured, he said. They were hospitalized in stable condition.

Good Lord! A contractor hurt also. Makes you wonder if they didn't get into a main power line.
OMG. Horrible, horrible.
Tragic.

Prayers for those who were injured, prayers to guide the souls of the departed. Ugh, this hits home. The National Jamboree I attended is full of rather fond memories.
I can't imagine how . .
Oh no! How terribly sad for everyone.
We apologize. A power failure earlier today resulted in a production delay. Please check back soon.
