Hispanic, Islamic Groups Want Tancredo Out

By STEVEN K. PAULSON
Associated Press Writer

Hispanic and Islamic groups called on Rep. Tom Tancredo to resign Monday, saying he has embarrassed Colorado by suggesting bombing Islamic holy sites if terrorists launch a nuclear attack on the U.S.

They also criticized the GOP congressman's staunch advocacy of tougher immigration controls.

"Enough is enough. We're here to say 'Stop,'" Hispanic activist Manolo Gonzalez-Estay told a crowd of about 200 at the state Capitol.

Abdur-Rahim Ali, imam of a Muslim shrine in Denver, said Tancredo's statement that "you could take out" Islamic holy sites in a retaliatory attack was unacceptable.

"What would happen if a prominent Muslim made that statement about Catholic holy places like the Vatican?" asked Ali.

Tancredo was traveling and unavailable for comment. His spokesman, Will Adams, said the four-term congressman has no intention of apologizing or resigning.

"They are a lot more upset about what he stands for, our nation's security and border policy, than anything else," Adams said.

When Tacredo is reelected it should be a good example to Karl Rove how courting the amnesty issue does not add a single Hispanic vote to the GOP column. In Arizona fully 46% of Hispanics supported the anti-alien Proposition 200. Tancredo should take his anti-amnesty message right to legal Hispanics. they overwhelmingly oppose illegals ripping off America when they did it the hard way.

As far as the Muslims, who gives a sh*t what they think anyway.

You don't get it - Tancredo is one of the few Congressmen who'll actually mention the elephant in the living room.

That's exactly why he's attacked by the political "in" crowd.

There are a lot of people that benefit greatly from cheap labor. They will not stand by quietly and watch their golden goose fly off.

You did know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki can't be lived in for still... an additional 250 years?

Are you saying that the population of Nagasaki and Hiroshima is zero, and will be for another 250 years? Because I did some checking on the web, and that does not appear to be true:

Both cities were rebuilt soon after the war and have become important industrial centres. The population of Hiroshima has grown to over one million and that of Nagasaki to 440,000. Major industries in Hiroshima today are machinery, automotive (Mazda) and food processing, those in Nagasaki are associated with its international port, particularly Mitubishi Heavy Industries.

Nuclear energy has come to be an important part of the life of each city in a totally new way: today one quarter of Hiroshima's electricity is from nuclear power and half of that for Nagasaki is nuclear. Both cities are testimony to the positive benefits of a technological society which applies available energy resources to the needs of urban populations and industry.

I also found some tourism sites with info for visitors to both Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

If I misunderstood you I apologize, but I don't see how your statement can be interpreted any other way.

Gee, what would happen if a bunch of Muslim terrorists invaded and defiled the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem?

Oh, I forgot, it already happened. The Greek Orthodox dhimmi Patriarch (and about everybody else it seemed like) blamed the Israelis.

"Tancredo's comment was stupid, ill-advised, counterproductive to the WoT and evidence that the man is just not too smart."

As opposed to, say, the Imams of Iran or the 'Religious' leaders in all the Mosks that are continually calling for the killing of westerners and AMERICANS in particular?

You mean those aren't 'stupid, ill-advised, and counterproductive ?

I can never understand why someone would be upset with an American putting it out there in response to these demmented suicidal terrorist idiots.

You analogy between what 'might' happen if we responded with a NUKE just doesn't cut it.

If a group of people tried to attack you and you pulled out a gun and shot one of them dead, they wouldn't just keep coming, they would scatter to the winds in fear.

Nuke Mecca, and a few other selected places, and these people will be recovering for years.

"What would happen if a prominent Muslim made that statement about Catholic holy places like the Vatican?" asked Ali.

Muslims don't just TALK about attacking Christian holy places, and those of other religions...they actually DO attack them and pervert them into mosques. Just look at 1500 years of history: the Hagia Sofia, Al Asqa Mosques and Temple of Ram in Gujarat, as well as all of Pakistan and Afghanistan, the latter of which was the birthplace of Hinduism, the temples and shrines of which were destroyed or perverted into shrines for Satan/Allah.

Hydrogen radiation can last up to 1,000 years.

Those would be used on in an all-out thermonuclear war.

Neutrons are still in the inventory, however.

That was almost nuclear war not a game of Double Dare. Besides we were speaking to a Nation not a bunch of Hide from the Light cockroaches.

Most of the negoitations around that issue were not public and no exaggerated threats were issued by Kennedy, nothing about "bombing the Kremlin or Lenin's Tomb." It was the Commies who were Blustering about what they would do not JFK.

Tancredo's antics remind me of Saddam's "Mother of All blah, blah, blah." Or those of the Whackjobs in Tehran or N Korea.

What he should have said is that he'd nuke the country and not specify religious sites.

what country would you nuke? We are not at war with a country. We are at war with Islam.

Tancredo needs to learn to keep his Big Mouth shut when his enemies try and bait him into saying stupid things.

I do NOT want him to resign or apologize just shut TF up about this and get smarter.

It is not the blustering ahole one has to look out for but the quiet guy who will knock your head off with no warning.

Blustering and wild empty threats are the national pasttime in the Middle East but not an American tradition. We have generally looked down on Blusterers.

I'm sick of appeasing these people after the atrocities they perform on a daily basis.

Me too. They're grown ups, if they can dish it out, they can take it. They nuke us, we nuke them.

Islam gives non-believers 3 choices:

1. Conversion to Islam
2. Paying annual tribute to remain a non-Muslim.
3. Death (preferably by beheading).

This has been practiced in Islamic nations for over 1,000 years.

Al Qaeda now threatens Rome. Berlusconi personally addressed

The Abu Hafs al Masri Brigades who claimed the two London bombing attacks published a fresh warning Monday, July 25: “After London, it is Rome’s turn.” The Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi is warned that by failing to withdraw Italian troops from Iraq, he would by his own hand “turn Rome into a graveyard.”

The statement run on the Internet threatens the Italian capital with harsher and more painful strikes than the London attacks. “As long as a single Italian soldier remains in Italy, you the prime minister can look forward to nothing but “more and more blood.”

DEBKAfile adds: All the European capitals have placed their security and emergency services of maximum terror alert. London too is bracing for more terrorist attacks. One of al Qaeda’s prime targets is expected to be the Vatican, which the terrorist organization sees as a world center of heresy.

An earlier warning by the same group gave Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK and Italy until August 15 to pull their soldiers out of Iraq.

Now you might be beginning to get it. Tancredo's comments are NOT opposed to those of the Moslemaniacs but EXACTLY like the crap that flows out of their yaps. They are precisely "stupid, ill-advised and counterproductive."

Leaders I respect do NOT act like these sand maggots.

Analogies trying to equate street thugs with killers who WANT to die are invalid. Have you already forgotten the scenes of these lunatics in small trucks attacking TANKS when we invaded Iraq?

I note your pointed refusal to address the Grand Mosque issue I raised OR the point that OBL would be happy to see Mecca nuked since that would validate his statements that the US is trying to destroy Islam.

"These people" are NOT every Moslem and to make that claim is very dangerous.

If this is a war against Islam tell me...why are they bombing themselves? The last I heard Egypt was muslim and Turkey.
Do I think the Muslim world is protesting enough against the terrorists? Absolutely not.
Tell me, why are they bombing themselves?
