Hillary Clinton: Military Using Racial Profiling
NewsMax ^ | 7/25/05

In a bid to burnish her Commander-in-Chief credentials, 2008 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is expected to call for an expansion of the armed forces by 80,000 troops during her speech to the Democratic Leadership Council later today.

But Mrs. Clinton's support for a larger military doesn't jibe with her call just last month to make it tougher for military recruiters to do their job - along with her accusation that the Pentagon is targeting ethnic minorities to meet recruitment goals.

In a June 24 letter to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Hillary and six other Democrats questioned whether military recruiters were engaged in racial profiling by collecting personal data on high school students.

"We fail to see a legitimate need for the creation of a database containing such personal information and are concerned that it may be an inappropriate effort to profile students based on ethnicity and other personal factors," she complained.

In a post to her official Senate web site that same day, Mrs. Clinton charged that recruiters were "infringing on the privacy of high school students" by using a market research firm to find out if they might be good candidates for a military career. [See: http://clinton.senate.gov/news/statements/details.cfm?id=239912&&]

In what sounded like a blast at the Armed Forces, the top Democrat declared, "It is critical that we do everything we can to make sure that our most sensitive personal information stays out of the wrong hands."

The Pentagon - "the wrong hands"?

Mrs. Clinton insisted that recruiters should be denied access to Social Security numbers, ethnicities, birth dates, class schedules and grade point averages - the kind of information that might help the military identify those most likely to want to serve their country.

Hillary surrounds herself with white folks, dies her hair blond and wears BLUE contact lenses.

And she has the nerve to point a finger?

Do the names Rice and Gonsalvez mean anything?

Why 80,000? Why not 90,000? How are they going to get that much personal?? What is so magical about 80,000?

Yes she is nuts. I hope Rush hears about this and does a rant for at least half an hour! That would be sweet.... followed up by Hannity, of course.

As usual, Shrillery is trying to have it both ways, a throwback to her college days at "Well-lez-ley."

Yep, she's gone off the deep end!!

Well she sure isn't going to score any points trying to move more to the right

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1449982/posts?page=1

with the fact that one minute she is accusing the military of racial profiling

http://newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/7/25/104306.shtml

and calling for a restriction on military recruiters

http://newsmax.com/scripts/printer_friendly.pl?page=http://newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/6/29/101921.shtml

...and then the next, she is talking of the need for more troops

She can tell all the lies in the world. Her supporters love every minute of her bullship.

They don't mind that she was the bag lady carrying cash for pardons.

They don't mind that FALN terrorists were released to garner her the Puerto Rican vote in NY.

They don't mind that she called police officers murderers.

They don't mind that she is for/against/loves/hates abortion.

They don't mind that she stole furniture from the White House on her departure.

IOW, they're America haters, just like she is.

Hillary-say-what? Could this be affirmative action in action? The PC Military striving for the much touted wonders of 'diversity'?

No matter what happens, good or bad, right or wrong, you can always count on these liberal idiots to blame it on a Republican or the military. (Or blame it on America, and say 'we had it coming, chickens roosting, etc.)

It must hurt to straddle the picket fence of military support, especially with balls.

most sensitive personal information stays out of the wrong hands

According to Hillary, the U.S. military is the wrong hands?

"Racial profiling" implies something negative, like police pulling people over or people being chosen for extra scrutiny at airports. I guess Hillary thinks being approached by the military to discuss the possibility of serving your country is a negative thing.
