Couldn't handle diving - a too-full bath tub scares me to death.

You have fun on those cruises Sod. It is a great way to see a lot of countries and they feed ya pretty good too. Diving was always in my blood. Even when I was a kid watching Lloyd Bridges as Mike Nelson in Sea Hunt, I knew that one day I would swim with the turtles. Wish I knew how to post pics here. I've taken some incredible photos with my underwater digital camera.

I thought so from the definitions above.
From the daughter's point of view, she can refer to her non-biological father as her step-father and to her natural father as her father. Alternatively, she can refer to her non-biological father as her "father" if she, were, let's say, abandoned at a young age and she has not known her real father and her step-father has truly been a great Dad to her. What it all comes down to, seems to me, is that it's the daughter/son's prerogative to address her non-bilogical father as her step-father or her father.
What I was asking for in my prior post is Jug's legal status to Natalee. For example, when Natalee files legal documents that ask for her father's name, does she use Jug's or Dave? Is she bound legally to use her biological father as her father, or her stepfather as her father in such documents?
I thought that Nat's Mother stated that Natalee didn't take her cell phone because of the international rates or her phone wouldn't work from there..
So IF Natalee had the use of a phone, unless it was direct dial, she would have had to access the line with a phone card?
You can tell, I am cynical about the alleged phone call.

I dunno, V. My exhusband had 2 children when we were married, and they referred to me as their stepmom. Still do, even though he and I are now divorced. They refer to their mother's 2nd husband as their stepdad. My exhusband has since remarried, and my children and I refer to her as their stepmother. Step does not mean less, it does not mean a substitute...it just means...one step away from being the parent of origin. I understand your point that he does not have a 'legal' relationship, so to speak, but from what I have seen, he loves her as his own, and I would venture a guess that she loves him very much.

I was not going to get involved in this stepparent catfight until I saw this. I am sorry, but aunts sharing blood is just WRONG. Besides being gross and disgusting, it can lead to HIV or Hepatitis. Now let's all get back to finding Natalee.
