Members of the Minuteman Project have seen firsthand just how dangerous their mission is becoming, after an incident on Saturday night along the California-Mexico border.
A California Minuteman leader says about 20 volunteer border-watchers were shot at, reports KFI Radio.
Minuteman Project head James Chase says the group heard five shots coming from the Mexican side of the border on Saturday night and then "when we turned the lights on we saw two guys with AK-47s standing at the fence."
"We didn't discharge our weapons or fire back because we would have received that AK-47 fire... we just pulled our people out of the area," Chase said.
Chase believes the shooters were "probably drug-runners who wanted the Minutemen to leave."
The San Diego Sheriff's Department says it got a call about the shooting but "didn't find any evidence."
Scouting -- as well as regular border-patrol duty -- continues in advance of the next Minuteman Project activity, now set for October.
Minuteman Project leaders plan for the October event to be significantly larger than the last one at the Arizona-Mexico border, as more concerned American citizens join and support the growing effort.
My first guess is that you are a TROLL!!!
Second is your stupid comments.

BTTT!
it's just the duality of man and the conflict between the id and the super ego...... or not... hahahaha
I would not be surprised that if any MM return fire, then they will soon find themselves engaged not only by the AK-bearing drug runners, terrorists, and coyotes, but by US LE and Military as well - who will be much more interested in defending the attackers than any US Citizens trying to resist them.
It's pretty obvious whose side this administration is on, isn't it?
If anyone does get into a dust up with an invader, I would hope that they quickly vanish into the night after business is taken care of and never advertize or brag about it.
Recriminations would come from both sides of the border were he or she ever found out.
But then; the American Revolution wasn't started by a standing US Military, was it? It may be the Citizen Soldier who has to take America back once again.
Do keep us posted.
No. The President could care less if United States Citizens or the Border Patrol gets attacked by Mexican Military or the Drug Cartels.
Protect our borders and coastlines from all foreign invaders!
Be Ever Vigilant!
Minutemen Patriots ~ Bump!
Isn't it terrorism? Sure would be if unknowns shot at our soldiers in Iraq from Syria or some other country not on the "A" list.
Or can't Mexicans be terrorists? It's just incomprehensible that the Armed Forces aren't in there, protecting US citizens doing the job our government refuses to do.
This incident makes me wonder if the allegedly American communist LULAC thugs, who we know have been giving this particular group of Minutemen grief, are communicating with fellow travelers across the border.
I'd put the chances as being being pretty high that they are, which makes them traitors. No surprises there...

That's what I'm wondering, too. This isn't the man I voted for.
We have been in other wars where we could not chase the bad guy into another country (Cambodia) and we been in wars that we had to get permission to shoot back Vietnam - seems to me we got our butt kicked that time too.
O I forgot F**ing Kerry did chase them back into Cambodia.
Thanks for posting that. Are the Minutemen actually armed? I'm not sure, because I've heard conflicting statements regarding weapons.
Personally, I don't see a problem shooting back. I do see a problem with our government allowing citizens of another country being able to commit an act of war against US citizens on our soil.
Of course, smugglers bring so much good to our country, it wouldn't be right to interupt their activites. /in your face sarcasm...
