Sahih Bukhari
Volume 9, Book 83, Number 50:
Narrated Abu Juhaifa:
I asked 'Ali "Do you have anything Divine literature besides what is in the Qur'an?" Or, as Uyaina once said, "Apart from what the people have?" 'Ali said, "By Him Who made the grain split (germinate) and created the soul, we have nothing except what is in the Quran and the ability (gift) of understanding Allah's Book which He may endow a man, with and what is written in this sheet of paper." I asked, "What is on this paper?" He replied, "The legal regulations of Diya (Blood-money) and the (ransom for) releasing of the captives, and the judgment that no Muslim should be killed in Qisas (equality in punishment) for killing a Kafir (disbeliever)."

To the politically correct, the only evil is judging real evil.
Could someone please explain what this has to do with the war we are fighting?
Don't think so.
If Islam goes nuclear, the entire world will see the demise of Islam, sooner, rather than later.
Depends upon how you define the war. If you say this is a war on terrorism, not much. If you say this is a war on radical Islam, quite a bit.
And if you read certain passages in the Koran, you come to the conclusion that, as the former PM of Singapore put it, as you try to separate radical Islamism from mainstream Islam, like wheat from chaff, you still have to realize they come from the same plant.
The problem is for too many here they don't make the distinction between radical/fundamentalist....etc Islam and and moderate(?)/islam as practiced by 85-90% of the worlds Muslims.
James Russell Lowell, it is said, was asked by the French historian, Guizot, "How long will the American Republic endure?" To which Lowell replied, "As long as the ideas of the men who founded it continue dominant."
The primary goal of education in America, at the time of its founding and for many years thereafter, was to inculcate the ideas of liberty and of the philosophy and principles of the Declaration of Independence (Creator-endowed life, liberty, rights and laws for human happiness) so that rising generations would recognize the opposing ideas of tyranny and oppression and know how to defend their liberty.
Sadly, in recent decades, the Founders' ideas have been largely ignored or deliberately censored out of our teaching and learning institutions.
America's founding ideas produced a constitutionally limited government, leaving citizens free to pursue happiness and enjoy the "Blessings of liberty" and peace as long as they did not violate the rights of fellow citizens. As Jefferson put it, "No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal rights of another; and this is all from which the laws ought to restrain him."
Ideas have consequences! (Weaver) The idea of Creator-endowed life and liberty and rights (the pursuit of happiness) is powerful!
If articulated and spread, that idea can defeat counterfeit ideas that enslave minds, deny liberty, and result in death.
It is time to recognize the opponent is tyranny and oppression and to fight the battle at hand with the ideas of liberty!
A mutant strain from the recessive gene pool of snake 'religions.' A snake is a snake is a snake even if it smells like a rose at some point in its growth.
Mainstream Islam is just the budding stage of Islam as it morphs into its radical state, from which the true nature of Islam is revealed and comes to fruition. 'Know them by their fruits.'
I don't think you can separate the wheat from the chaff when it's all chaff to begin with.
So are you suggesting that God began removing his 'hands' on 9/11, using the snake cult to begin punishing innocents for the 'sins' of the few? If there were no Baptists in the Twin Towers on that day I'd be inclined to see some substance in what you are saying.
1. God began removing his hands of protection long before 9/11.
2. God simply removes His hands, He is known to have used His own enemies in the O.T. to punish even "the apple of His eye."
3. Being a Baptist, or a member of any church has nothing to do with it.
4. Sins of a few? A few? Are you blind? And millions who do not participate in the sins directly give tacit approval, or believe that government should give tacit approval (the libertarian mind set).
Guess I'd better stop wearing 'Bermuda shorts' and having a beer on my patio, huh?
I have no idea about you or whether you have any desire for God's Word and the truth therein. What think ye of Christ?
Do you believe that Christ was and shall be?
I believe Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
A good answer. But belief and knowledge are two different things. Do you speak from belief or from knowledge?
God is calling many to be spiritual warriors--because this is spiritual warfare of the most insidious kind. There are many books being written by Christians who are intercessors. Francis Frangipane has one I just sent for on fighting this war. Can't remember the name of it. We need to go to war spiritually as well as prepare for it physically. Let's not forget that.
AMEN. Time to become a Warrior for Christ and for America.
