Barbara Streisand is urging members of the news media not to forget about presidential advisor Karl Rove now that he's been bumped from the headlines by the selection of John Roberts as the next Supreme Court justice.
On her website, the entertainer and liberal activist writes:
How lucky for George Bush that his well-timed nomination of Judge Roberts to the Supreme Court has taken the heat off of Karl Rove. Let's hope that the press does not forget about Mr. Rove and the White House's role in the leak of undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity. The Fitzgerald investigation and the Rove story are too important to stay off the front page. Not only does it reveal the truly secretive and subversive nature of this administration, but it exposes the major National Security implications of disclosing the identity of a vovert intelligence officer. In addition, the story demonstrates the serious lengths the administration went to in order to squelch and unfairly discredit those that undercut their rationale for the Iraq War.
A Supreme Court nominee should not distract the country from the growing credibility problem at the White House. Journalists need to continue to launch hardball questions to press secretary Scott McClellan during White House press briefings. And the media, Democrats and the country should demand that President Bush show some leadership and hold accountable those responsible for this major breach in security. Let's hope that the media does not take the bait as the President continues to do everything in his power to shift the spotlight away from Karl Rove. We'll be watching...
Streisand is well known for her anti-Bush rhetoric.

Shouldn't one of her "people" tell Ms. S that the senate did a good enough job of discrediting Wilson, so Rove don't have to?
President Bush show some leadership and hold accountable those responsible for this major breach in security.
She's not gonna like it when democrats are put in the dock.
Bwhahahah.
The Clinton boot-licker. What a disgusting individual -- so typical of the mindless Hollywood left.
Leave it to Babs to continue to push the story about nothing. Thats what happens to liberal entertainers who cant book gigs and make money!
Yeah Babs... forget about terrorist attacks in London, Egypt, Turkey... Rove is all that matters. Nitwit.
The story's dead, Babs. Now off to the next dead-end you go!
apparently only transvestites want to look like her anymore...
More BS.
Speaking of toilets....I know someone that is a stage manager and she likes roses petals floating in hers (toilets)....as for me I am just glad my kids are older now and I do not have any "floaters"in my toilets....
She's lucky that God gave her a voice to sing, because that's ALL she's got.
Just because she was a good singer doesn't make her right! Her Socialist philosophy has failed at every attempt and will anytime it's tried.
I don't know which is more false-her claims about the Bush administration, or the article saying that she's an entertainer.
Kael: "Are we to believe this famous singer has heard about recording technology?"
I read a book about Guber-Peters not long ago; man, was she a real trip to work for. With the exception of putting on a concert for free to calm down the extras, I don't think there is one moment of niceness or professional courtesy on her part described in the book.
This idiot has ISSUES.
