The Republicans ALWAYS let these matters slide. I use to think it was because they always took the higher road, but now I'm not so sure they aren't worried about a tit-for-tat war starting. I just called my parents to say hello. My mom says Dad just called me in to watch something really important on CSpan about the CIA. They held hearings yesterday and Dad says it's so important I see this.

I think the entire SP investigation involves a CIA leak to Judy Miller. There could be quite a little CIA "leak" infrastructure involved here, reaching as far as the Senate. I don't think Porter Goss will let this one rest.

The Rats knew this was coming since Dec 2004. The current Rove stuff is their way of insulating themselves against a very serious leak charge, by making a big deal about a very minor leak charge
