If the cowardly Europeans had shown a United front agains terrorists when this thing started it would be over now.

They didnt, They showed themselves to be ripe for terrorism and the terrorists have ripened. They have no one to blame but their cowardly leaders. You show a bully you are scared and that bully will have his fun with you.

Wrongo sarge.

We lost the support of historic allies when we retreated from Afganistan when we were on bin Laden's back porch, We had almost universal support when we were actively pursuing those that had shamefully invaded us on 9/11. We lost that support when we dumbfoundingly disengaged and insanely resumed operation Desert Sand.

I submit the following:
Shortly after Sept. 11, he (Chancellor Gerhard Schröder) pledged unconditional political and military support for the Bush administration's war on terror. He cited both Germany's commitment to the United States and its national interest in combating terrorism, knowing that for the first time since World War II the country could be entering a war.

Two months later, when the call came from Washington requesting specific German assistance—a deployment of 3,900 troops—Schröder did not flinch. He took it to the parliament in Berlin and won approval for the deployment after a tense political struggle, in which he tied the issue to a vote of confidence in his government and thus pushed his agenda through in a show of strength.

Just look at all the "progress" we've made since that fateful decision to invade Iraq! Show an ally you've gone bonkers and watch how fast he abandons you!

"If the cowardly Europeans had shown a United front agains terrorists when this thing started it would be over now."

BULL. What about Israel, friend? Are they "cowardly" in the face of terrorist attacks? Has it worked? Just because a nation isn't belligerent doesn't make it cowardly.
Britain rightly has not just started firing missiles in the air out of anger. It would be cowardly if they knew exactly where the terrorist "camp" was, and didn't attack it. But attacking a perp you can't see is just plain stupid and belligerent.

"They didnt, They showed themselves to be ripe for terrorism and the terrorists have ripened. They have no one to blame but their cowardly leaders. You show a bully you are scared and that bully will have his fun with you."

Bull. Acting unfraid and dropping bombs does not deter terrorism any more than the death penalty deters a true psychopath. In fact, it helps terrorist ranks swell. They haven't hit the US against because they haven't chose to, and in your heart, you know it. People unfraid to die are not repelled by the thought of "western justice." Sorry but true. Attacking and insulting other victim nations will not change this, but it may give you a false sense of security.
