WASHINGTON (AP) -- Global warming is caused primarily by humans and "nearly all climate scientists today" agree with that viewpoint, the new head of the National Academy of Sciences -- a climate scientist himself -- said Wednesday.

Based on the available evidence, any scientist who says that is a disgrace to the profession. You can't base proof solely on faulty computer models which are full of more assumptions than hard facts.

So are we responsible for screwing up the ice age also? What was the climate like when the dinosaurs were the dominant species? I believe scientists say it was quite warm, before it got cold. Anyone think that our planet may be going thru a natural cycle since nearly everything in nature seems to do just that.

Yeah, and if you disagree with it you are exiled to the fringe, labeled a dissident, and unable to get funding for your research, denied tenure at your university, etc. The herd mentality is alive and well with this bunch.

Was the CO2 level higher on this date 400,001 years ago, and why?
The answer is we don't "REALLY" know but it is sooooo important that we can't take the chance.

Some are egotistical enough to think that mankind can drastically alter the planet, yet we haven't even been able to stop a rain shower. Humans and what humans do is as natural as the grazing caribou. I personally am getting tired of hearing that we only do 'unnatural' things.

But really, the best thing about this whole global warming thing is that not one lieb scientists say's we can EVOLVE to meet the challenges of our NEW environment.
