LOL. Nice work.
Now back to Karl Rove.
Heh...can anyone believe how George Soros has become such a hate-mongering slob (not that he never was one)? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if someone found a hornet's nest in his heart.
Yup: Pretenders. I noted that I was correected in an earlier post.
That's what she gets when the "B" team tries to blow up anything. They can't do anything right.
CNN should hire some good "bombers". Oops, where are the bombers that have been training in Iraq?
I like that point of view. Suppose, just suppose, that the July 7 bombings was something along the lines of this: "here kid, take this package and leave it on the bus. When you get a block away, we'll set it off."
Rush's 24/7 e-mail seldom works for me. When I click on it it asks for me to sign in although I'm already signed in. Then it won't accept my password. When I refresh the e-mail option is gone.
The spoof on the Soros ad actually had me going for a bit, but it was all over when it got to the paid for by Soros part. It was like a Scrappleface piece with so much truth in it that it can fool you at first.
Think about it: morale is a BIG thing for any army.
Even though the terrorists are losing BADLY militarily, they continue to commit suicide bombings. Sure enough, the lefties in the MSM media CONTINUE to report it and almost NOTHING else on the WoT.
The more something is reported, the more apathetic one becomes.
Wow, Rush screwed the media
From the wikipedia reference:
Even Limbaugh's introductory theme music has attracted controversy. Since the 1980s he has used an edited and looped version of the powerful instrumental riff from The Pretenders' "My City Was Gone", a song written by Chrissie Hynde to bemoan the effects of overdevelopment on her native Ohio. Limbaugh loved the riff, hated the message, and thought he could both attract listeners and annoy opponents by playing it. When a landmark copyright case was decided in the 1990s, musical artists gained control over their works when performed thematically. Briefly in 1999, Limbaugh was forced to suspend playing the song while negotiating with Hynde. Hynde eventually decided to allow Limbaugh to use it, with Limbaugh donating approximately $500,000/year to the animal rights organization PETA. Hynde explained that she doesn't agree with Limbaugh but her parents are big fans.
You could always call him up and ask him about it. Do you think you'd get through the screener?
I worked for me today....
(listens to the Karl Rove spoof)
...oh my. They're becoming even MORE desperate.
I should have read down a few more posts. Didn't intend to pile on.
BTW have we cleaned up the CIA connection for drugs in the US inner cities.
BTW understand that there is a an Upcoming story coming out in the time magazine we went to war in Afghanistan to reopen the poppy fields.
Actually, it seems that the complaint came from some record-company weasle looking to make trouble.
Chrissy Hynde's comment after the fact was that she "didn't problem" with Rush using the tune and that her parents liked him.
Hynde seems to be a left-leaning Libertarian, but mostly considers herself apolitical.
Karl Rove's name begins with a K and so does the Klan's.
Hey, I'm not sure I like that comparison.
But then I'm the one who claims I was named after the least funny of the Marx brothers.
He's gone over this several times over the years and callers have gotten through (usually on Friday) to discuss.
For a period he switched to Fine Young Cannibals 'She Drives Me Crazy.'
The bottom line as best I recall/understand it is, Hynde/Pretenders/publishers can't really prevent him from using the music. When the doubt crept in, he stopped until apparently legal research proved that there was no impediment.
Hynde earns royalties every time it's played so no worries.
You're kidding. Just to reopen the poppy fields to make opium?
...okay, I know TIME isn't exactly the most CONSERVATIVE magazine (coughlibbycough) but this? Come on.
Oh rats!!! I hate it when Rush is gone!! Rush is the only one I trust with his brilliant insight on the democraps (and that's with one hand tied behind his back). Hummm....could Rush be getting (gulp) married, by any chance?
Most of the time I'm driving when I hear it on the radio, so here I am laughing myself silly in the car and everyone who sees me must think I'm a total nutjob... LOL!
