That raises a question: Does "mile-high" refer to MSL or AGL?
This is important.

So much for free enterprise. Southwest is just fine where they are making money. American can STFU and go bankrupt for all I care. They won't be happy until all airlines go down or pay hommage to them.
To: Paleo Conservative
They have been trying to do this since SA got started. It won't work. IMO

LOL...When I read the headline, I thought it was talking about those pilots who have come up with a unique service. There is a guy in Georgia, I believe, because I read it on boortz.com, but he has outfitted his plane with a bed, and for a fee he will take couples up for initiation into the "mile high club." I can just see a politician trying to ban that. My mistake-too funny.
To: Paleo Conservative
This is good. Congress certainly knows what is best for airline passengers. Southwest Airlines should concede that fact. [/sarcasm]
To: Paleo Conservative
I hope SW leaves the Dallas market. (I know it's improbable, but it would serve them right)

I hope that they pass a bill outlawing the movie 'Love Field'. It seems that every weekend I come upon it while channel surfing.
(On a related rant, by is politically correct version of Die Hard 1, 2 & 3 on 24/7?)

To: Gamecock
This is such political BS. There is no chance of it passing. It's a reaction to McCain co-sponsoring a bill to repeal the Wright amendment that prohibits commercial flights from Love field outside of Texas or the states that border Texas. This has been relaxed to include Mississippi, Alabama, and Kansas. Now Kit Bond (R-Mo) is trying to add Missouri to the list so Southwest can fly between Love and St. Louis/KC.

That raises a question: Does "mile-high" refer to MSL or AGL? Actually, it applies to both. You only earn your wings, though, if it's more than 5280' AGL.

I hope this passes. I notice that Republicans are leading the charge to kill the effort to repeal it. I thought the GOP was supposed to be for less government regulation and free enterprise? IF DFW and American Airlines take a hit in the pocket book, so be it.
