In his memoirs, Nikita Khrushchev himself clarified the matter. "It would have been ridiculous for us to go to war over Cuba - for a country 12,000 miles away. For us, war was unthinkable. [So much for all the media and Hollywood hype of those peril-filled "Thirteen Days."] We ended up getting exactly what we'd wanted all along, security for Fidel Castro's regime and American missiles removed from Turkey. Until today the U.S. has complied with her promise not to interfere with Castro and not to allow anyone else to interfere with Castro [italics mine]. After Kennedy's death, his successor Lyndon Johnson assured us that he would keep the promise not to invade Cuba."
I can't read, but my computer can copy and paste.

"VIVA CUBA LIBRE! " they yelled.
Many of Castro's earlier victims shouted "Viva Cristo Rey!"
as they were shot in the old Spanish fort on Havana harbor.
Amnesty International (not a right-wing organization) admits that Castro has executed some 20,000 Cubans over the years of his rule. (Where is the international criticism that arises when the USA is going to execute one criminal?)
But different rules apply for left-wing dictators. . .

I love telling this fact to my friends who think Jack Effin Krap is da best. It's like telling a five-year-old kid that there's no Santa Claus. The dejected look on their faces is priceless.

Other than socialism, what/which Democrat president ever did anything good, or right? Most Dems have botched everything they have ever touched, Cuba included.
The Kennedy administration didn't shed one tear after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. That paper sheds some light, that both Kennedys were covert parties to the invasion failure!

It wouldn't be hard to draw a conclusion from this as to why Kennedy was asassinated.

what would be your conclusion? Mine would be that the Soviets should have told Oswald that Kennedy was also a friend of Cuba.

Ask any Cuban exile in Miami, they've known all of this for years. They literally spit on the ground when they mention JFK.
