You always start with your best. Winning creates momentum all its own. Roberts confirmation will make it much easier for others. Were the first nominee to go down, it would be hell getting anyone through that we would like.

Well said.

This impeccably qualified man will serve as a test run for how the game is played--good preparation for the next time.

LIFO versus FIFO. That's a bean counter term. One is the correct accounting method here, and one isn't. And there is no clearly right answer here. You have a point (along with others), I have a point, and you have a point, and you're OK, and I'm OK. Cheers. :)

I feel GREAT! And, I liked that truly happy smile on Senator Orrin Hatch, he actually looked peaceful and happy at the same time – I could see it in his eyes - when I saw him on FOX News cable when I turned on the boob-tube as soon as I got in from work, and it made me feel happy, too. I just knew, Bush made the right choice, a conservative choice, and, well, it just felt good all over.

On the way in, every conservative talk show was pretty much in high spirits with the choice, though few really know the man, but it doesn’t take very long to like him.

I like him already. A handsome man, Roberts, an intelligent man.

And a young man. I heard he was only 50 and a nominee to the court, a court of older men and women, and this choice may be a sitting judge on the court until 2030 AD. By God, think about it.

Well, I didn’t expect it. But it looks like the conservatives got what they wanted.

And it’s very good news. Good news for conservatives like me.

The abortion question isn’t the most important to me, because for me it is the war on terror, protecting our borders, stopping the illegal alien invasion, private property rights, and cutting off funding to PBS et all, and stopping gay marriage and licenses for illegal aliens from Mexico. Most of these are political issues, but the court can make a huge difference in it’s own way.

In truth, I don’t know where Roberts stands on all of these issues, but talk show host Laura Ingraham is giving the nod, so that’s a good endorsement if there is one, one I can trust. Even Savage in his own way is giving the nod yes.

So I feel very positive today, I feel good about this.

It almost makes me get back on the Bush bandwagon.

Didn’t think he would do it, but Bush came through for the conservatives.

Put a macaroni in my cap.

Actually I think this pic will be the easiest to get through. If we get two more, each one will get successively more difficult (especially if they're conservative and they had better be) because it will bring us closer to overturning Roe vs. Wade. Thus, the democrats will rail all the harder.
