Good for you. Now this opens the door for him to appoint Brown or Jones or Clement for the Rehnquist fill, and we still have Stevens considering retirement and Ruth Buzzi ill. Hmmmm. Can you say most conservative court in 50 years?

The DUers are suicidal right now They are hysterically funny right now! I urge everyone who can stomach the stench to view the spectacle for themselves. Here's an example of a Roberts case that infuriates them:
Environmental Protection and Property Rights
Voted for rehearing in a case about whether a developer had to take down a fence so that the arroyo toad could move freely through its habitat. Roberts argued that the panel was wrong to rule against the developer because the regulations on behalf of the toad, promulgated under the Endangered Species Act, overstepped the federal government's power to regulate interstate commerce.
I sure hope the toad has a good lawyer.

I bet they are having a cow.
They just can't adjust to having a republican president who knows how to outwit/outmaneuver them.
President Bush is the first president to announce a nominee at 9PM since Nixon.
This ought to be in the GOP play book. Democrats can announce early, because that allows the media an entire day to spread good spin.
I am completely surprised. I am a HUGE President Bush fan, but have been concerned that he'd nominate a "moderate".
I was wrong.
