Of course, the hard liberals like Boxer and Kennedy would likely still attempt a filibuster even if it is a suicidal one (if they aren't even close to the required votes)...

You may be right, but I can just see the Democrats and their "moderate" lapdogs telling us that "She has not had enough years on the appeals court."

Because they delayed her confirmation for two or three years.
