I hope I don't get any of those... hehehe...
Yeah people come and go at channel 5 but he's always there. He's cool. He came out to our job and did a hurricane preparedness presentation years ago. I had thought he was much taller:')
There's a pill for that...
Thanks for checking in and re-inforcing my faith in Tim Smith. I've met him once and you confirmed my impression of him being a nice guy.
It's calm here at the moment.
Good idea for these hurricane threads!
Ah, this probably isn't the place to be hanging out, feeling that way lol. Kind of like going to a bar and not wanting alcohol around.
Boy, I could use a little 70 degree weather here, without the hurricane of course. Stay safe and keep us updated. How far do you live from the shore?
She's really getting her act together fast this afternoon, unfortunate for those in northern Mexico..
Thanks for sharing, but I think you came to the wrong thread to complain about Emily coverage. Besides, if you are sick of the coverage, why did you come to this thread?
The 'kark' sound is usually something suddenly ripped from where it's supposed to be. Like a swingset, or a roof...
TV does that. Same when Col. Oliver North was here and we went to see him. He was not as tall and much thinner than he looks on TV.
Who got the Margarita's? I have food for about 100 for 2 weeks. LOL!
Thanks for the good wishes... May you be safe as well.
Here's a clue for you--this thread isn't in Breaking News, Current Events, or Front Page News...btw--Texas and Florida FReepers are consistently two of the top three state contributers to Free Republic. Get over it, Bucky. :o)
I'm in Port Brownsville. Not really a shore but I'm a little less than a mile from the coast.
Doing fine. Heading to Wisconsin at the end of the week. Have to go while it is warm!
Is it raining yet in the McAllen area? Stay safe!
The media hype it because:
* It "proves" Global Warming (e.g. hurricanes = global warming, doncha know?)
* Anything promising to raise the price of oil can be used to demonize us EEEeeeeevil SUV drivers, who refuse to "convert" to driving little hybrids with 9 inch wheels!
NN: Again many thanks for everything you do. I think many you were the head nurse. If not, you should have been!
Then don't hop on the threads about it, dipwad. There's plenty of other threads to post to around FR.
Hey now. He's the pride of STX. If Tim Smith says...... Besides , I think he's a freeper too. RGV mentioned low coverage and on the news he came!:')
