With Luttig, Jones, and Clement out I am getting nervous about Gonzalez.
Roberts is in town but the fact that Gonzalez suddenly cancelled an apearence yesterday in boston to rush back to washington is worrying. Spector being happy reportedly makes me think it could be gonzalez.

We've also heard, via Hannity, that the nominee may not be there tonight. Someone else mentioned a rumor of telecommuting equipment at the 5th Circuit in New Orleans. So Jones isn't necessarily out.

What I'd like to know is why Senator Kay Hutchison suddenly turned around and returned to DC after arriving at DFW (if that story is true). If so, it may be to appear with the President if a Texan is nominated to the SCOTUS.
