We've also heard, via Hannity, that the nominee may not be there tonight. Someone else mentioned a rumor of telecommuting equipment at the 5th Circuit in New Orleans. So Jones isn't necessarily out.
Also... what about Owen?
I thought Bush might be ready to pick a Souter. But I don't think so at this point. He's already PO'd the media and the dems. Anything less than a conservative pick and he'll have EVERYONE angry with him.
That said... this is all great political theater. Best I've seen in some time.
I said over a thousand posts ago....I'm popping corn.
Owen's location is a mystery & she'd be a comfy pick for Bush. The comment about not needing to be there was something Bush said during press conference with Austalian PM this AM.
Roberts is my prediction he is in d.c and he is the only one left except gonzalez.
"We've also heard, via Hannity, that the nominee may not be there tonight."
Right. I heard that too. His decision to make this theatrical isn't a political move, is it?
Kicking up my feet and enjoying the sight of Capitol Hill & press core tearing their hair out. Just goes to prove they are not as important as they think they are, instead they are waiting on the choice of ONE man that truthfully can state only he represents the Majority of Americans.
