I keep hearing this UN SG nonsense, and that's all it is.

I am always confronted with people who don't know the UN.

The SG is not selected in the SC, it is voted on by the member nations of the GC, and there is an unwritten understanding by the self serving SC that they (who put forth the nominee to the GC) will never put forth someone who is a citizen of a member state of the SC.

That is simple self interest, since they know that no one from those countries has a snowballs chance of getting passed.

This is absolutely not true. Under no circumstances does the Secretary of the UN hold as much power as the President. He is important only because the left deems it as the best hope for mankind in their utopian dreamworld.

You can bet, however, thatBill Clinton will move quickly and decisively to make it a powerful position. And that would be an absolute disaster.

When you die, whenever it happens is "your time". It might have been a terrible circumstance, but God still allowed it.
