A Letter from Ambassador Joe Wilson:
Dear Friend,
In February 2002, George W. Bush's Administration sent me to Africa to investigate claims that Saddam Hussein was seeking to buy materials for weapons of mass destruction. In early March, I provided a detailed briefing to the C.I.A; I concluded that Iraq had most likely not tried to buy uranium in Niger. We know the rest of the story.
The Bush White House tried to intimidate me and to discourage others from exposing the lies they told to justify the war. Some senior people in the Bush administration betrayed our country by exposing my wife's cover at the CIA because they deemed their political agenda to be more important than our national security. Not so. George Bush's Administration has betrayed our trust I know that personally. And I hope you'll join me in supporting John Kerry's campaign to wrest our democracy back from those who have so squandered the public trust. This is our cause - and it's about our future.
Former Ambassador Wilson Endorses Kerry [BIG SURPRISE!]

CONCORD, N.H. --
Former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, who accused the Bush administration of manipulating intelligence to exaggerate the threat from Iraq, endorsed Democrat John Kerry for president on Thursday.
In a conference call with New Hampshire reporters, Wilson said he and Kerry, the Massachusetts senator, have shared the experience of challenging their government -- Wilson when he questioned the "rush to war" with Iraq, Kerry when he challenged America's role in Vietnam.
Speaking from Washington, Wilson said Kerry's actions, coming when he was but 23-year-old Vietnam War veteran, makes him stand out in the Democratic presidential field.
"John Kerry did the same thing after he came out of Vietnam, I did it at the age of 53 ... with a long and distinguished career behind me," Wilson said. "John Kerry did it at the very beginning of his career.
"I know how these sorts of things test one's mettle," he said. "To have stood up and said what he did, at the time that he did, in my judgment, sets him apart from the other candidates."
Wilson and the Bush administration have been at odds since he accused the White House of manipulating intelligence to exaggerate the threat from Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. Afterward, the Justice Department began a criminal investigation to determine who in the administration leaked the identity of Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, an undercover CIA operations officer.
Plame's identity was revealed in a July 14 column by syndicated columnist Robert Novak, who said he got the information from two senior administration officials.
Do take note of all the names that worked for Clinton .. also worked for Kerry during the election

Former diplomat Joseph Wilson used to tell reporters he felt certain how his obituary would read. It went: "Joseph C. Wilson IV, who was the last American diplomat to meet with Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, died . . . "
But "it seems to change," Wilson said yesterday, smiling across his desk in his Washington office. He has kept mentally revising the obituary to keep up with the political maelstrom over Iraq policy and White House leaks that is swirling around him.
A recent version began: "Joseph C. Wilson IV, the Bush I administration political appointee who did the most damage to the Bush II administration . . ."
The current version goes: "Joseph C. Wilson IV, the husband of the spy the White House outed, . . ."

Who shared a complex network of relationships with Rock Creeks Elias Aburdene and Joseph Wilson--notably, all three contributed to Arab-American Congressional Caucus leader Nick Rahall,
25 who supported Muslim lobbying groups linked to terrorists and opposed military action in Iraq.
26 Abdurahman Alamoudi also contributed to Rahall, and sat on the steering committee of Arab Americans for Clinton/Gore '96 along with his associate James Zogby, who later advised Gores 2000 Presidential campaign.
27 Wilson had worked as an aide to Gore from 1985 to 1986 and had developed a friendly relationship with him. Wilson says Gore was the first person outside the State Department to contact him expressing support when he was caught in Iraq in the middle of the diplomatic crisis leading up to the Gulf War. In 1997 Gore recommended Wilson to President Clinton to help him plan a trip to Africa. When Wilson began publicly opposing Bushs Iraq policy in 2002, Gore was still considered a potential candidate in the 2004 election. Gores speeches were then being sponsored by the antiwar group Moveon.org, which Wilson would support in September 2003 in an attempt to petition Congress against appropriating funds for Iraq operations.
28 Moveon.org was financed by billionaire George Soros,
29 who had business interests encompassing, among other things, the BTC Pipeline that Mohammed Alamoudis Delta Oil was helping build.
30 Later, after Gore announced in December 2002 that he would not be running in the 2004 campaign,
31 Moveon.org began supporting John Kerrys campaign.
32 Wilson began advising Kerrys campaign on foreign policy matters around May 2003 [I guess we can now make that January 2003--Fedora], several months prior to his public entry into the Niger uranium controversy.
33 By this time, from at least fall 2002, the French intelligence operation to push the Niger forgeries on British and US intelligence was already underway. Meanwhile, from as early as at least January 6 2003--prior to President Bushs 2003 State of the Union address where the President made the African reference which Wilson criticizes--the Democratic National Committee was already circulating a memo planning a public relations strategy which would include [c]laiming the Bush administration has manufactured evidence against Saddam Hussein and used that evidence to encourage Britain and other allies to join the American fight against Iraq."
I knew if anyone had more information it would be you, great info.
This article appears to be misdated at the top and should be dated Jan. 13, 2004 (IMHO).
Here is why:
The website uses the dated posted as part of the file name.
http://www.politicsus.com/011304cjk.htm , so 01 is Jan. 13 is the day and 04 is the year.
So the date of the meeting at the bottom of the release is the correct date.
Near the bottom of the document, it lists the date Tuesday, January 13, 2004. I think it's pretty clear that 2003 was just a typo.
Thanks, we knew that was there, but I noticed that the file name on the website where it is posted used the 03 date also, a common practice.
