The big story is why Plame recommended her unqualified husband and why they were determined to damage the President while we are at war. Treason?

BINGO! WE HAVE A WINNER

That's where this is headed. I think dims and the anti-war group mr joe plame was involved with may have conspired to the president and the war on terror, and the US harm. If I maneuvered to get my self in a position do a job for the dimocrats, it sure would not be to help them. If this is the case with mr plame then it is treason. That's a lot worse than the runaway bride and a 'false police report.' And I would not be surprised if this intent to mislead the government thru a false intelligence report is not connected (as someone suggested last night) to the oil for food scandal.

I don't think I'm wearing a tin foil hat here, but will be the first to say so if I am. At the least, there was some sort of set up in the plan to get mr plame to do this job.

This is a MSM assault. They went out on a limb and the limb has broken. Now all they can do is press for some phony absolving of guilt.

Wilson's press-conference was an attempt at getting out in front of this collapsing, house-of-cards.

how qualified and distinguished could Wilson have been, the same senate intel report you cite earlier, blows away any credibility he had.

How many Americans do you think there are with such qualifications?

Well we now know his qualifications included being a patholigical liar! Those who recommended him KNEW that he was already involved with anti-war groups. Do you think he went to discover the truth, that he had no agenda? Pleas explain that dim-witted liberal larry!

and Plame wanted to be able to use her "undercover" status to shield herself from having her motives scrutinized when the smear job began when Wilson returned. Novak wasn't going for it.

The big story is why Plame recommeded her unqualified husband...

Doug, I don't think we know whether her husband was unqualified because we don't know what the actual mission was. I think there's some real question as to what Wilson did once he got to Niger and I think it has to do with his "business" dealings, up to and including covering his own ass. Sadly, the MSM is only interested in the "let's nail the WH" approach so we won't hear anything that deviates from that.

I think that pro-democrats are responsible for this. Either democrats, democrat supporters, a willing msm, liberals. Republicans or their supporters are not responsible. In the end, it will be portrayed as guilt on both sides, the usual way liberals wiggle out of a tight situation.

If you want to believe that Joe Wilson was even in the top ten as qualified for this particular assignment, go ahead. But if you believe that, how do you explain why he repeatedly lied about his wife's role in getting him the assignment? Not just one lie, but several lies, as he backed down by steps from his original claim that she had nothing to do with it.

And if he was such a whiz kid for the assignment, how is it that the only document he submitted was his expense account? Heck, when I did my first consulting work at the age of 26, I knew that the job had to end with both a verbal report and a written report. Wilson never produced even a single-page written report. What do you make of that?

Looks to me that you are swallowing the codswallop. Nasty stuff, that.

Even Isabella didn't send her own husband sailing the seven seas to see what he could see.

I gotta love you for that observation. :)

Well, bravery wasn't his strongpoint. Now if he'd been Peter the Great, or Napoleon, or Julius Caesar, or Hannibal...but he was just Ferdinand.

Considering the fact that the MSM and Dems are trying to make a little political hay during the slow summer time....why don't we just fight back their banter with an obvious dialog.....we can say-

" Here is our plan for America and here is what we believe...now what's yours?"

We are so used to debunking their idiotic schemes...because it is fun to show our intellectual prowess to these dim-wits. But it is time to " frame the debate " as Lakoff ( rhymes with...) would say we do.

SO here's my new Republican motto. HERE's MINE NOW SHOW ME YOURS!

Right after... I heard Woodward & Bernstein compare the MSM attacks on Rove to Watergate.

Those two leaches or coach roaches with multiple wives made millions in personal wealth on their story and left Felt "Deep Throat" with nothing, and for that of his crime he got what he deserved. Apparently Felt was not happy at all with that!?!

How many Americans do you think there are with such qualifications?

So then how come Wilson's mission had to be undertaken as an unofficial rogue operation that was sneakily put into motion by his wife, and without the knowledge of Tenet or Cheney or anybody else who would have cared?

This was a purely political operation from the beginning.

He did what he was asked to do. Pretty simple.

They decided to send someone to look into it and either Plame took it upon herself to recommend her husband or was asked about her husband who was eminently well-qualified.

You seem like a bright person. Why would the CIA send a former State Dept. diplomat to find out if Iraq had tried to buy yellowcake uranium from Niger. You guys like to change the issue from "tried to by" to "bought" but the reality is no has said Iraq or Saddam Hussein actually purchased yellowcake uranium, only that Iraq and Hussein tried to. The idea that a former "ambassador" to a nearby country could be helpful to getting to the bottom of such an important possibility is laughable. Either the CIA was the screwed up mess that Clinton and Co. left it in or there was another reason for sending him.

And, btw, British Intelligence has never changed its' position that Iraq tried unsuccessfully to purchase this substance from Niger and, after Britain's own exhaustive investigation, they still stand by their original assertion.

Matt Cooper is not an unbiased reporter.
Do you know who he is married to?
Mandy Grumwald, the liberal Hillary advisor, backer, etc..

When it all comes out in the wash, it will be clear that Wilson lied repeatedly, his wife helped him do that, he may have outed his own wife (see the David Corn article), and that no one in the Bush Administration committed any crime.

I saw some place here that both wilson and plame were big contributors to dems candidates!?! Follow the money, alway!!!
