I like Laura Ingraham I still think one her most hilarious comments was referring to John Edwards as silky pony. In case people do not realise you can listen to her on the net. Unfortunately due to time difference I only get occasionally to hear her the same as Rush and Sean do their show again both of these can be listened on the net.

This "meme" started just before "Camelot", when the beginnings of the MSM began feeling their oats. (I suspect that having Harry and Dwight in the WH delayed the start, but I could be wrong)

I think there are independent forces involved. Technology and the ability to mass broadcast being one, television being another, as people are more easily influence by pictures than by words, and by market forces that resulted in consolidation of press ability in the hands of fewer and fewer people.

I haven't studied it, but wonder if there was a parallel construction of "journalism schools" to provide people to fill the news reader and news reporter roles.

actually the primary reason for not having the stand in ask too much is to prevent any potential breach of attorney client communication with someone who is not going to be representing the client.

If innocent until proven guilty is so bad, why not adopt the French legal system of Guilty until PROVEN innocent.

Understood and I agree. The trick for the trial attorney is to have plausible deniability. Although, I've seen that stretched to the point of being ridiculous. Nothing is worse than seeing a judge chuckle over something the attorney did or said that was so obviously false, and then get away with it.

Mr. Rove tapped a reporter on the shoulder and then handed him a bottle of Tylenol, apparently pulled out of an open pocket in the reporter's backpack. Then Mr. Rove said that the reporter looked like he could use the painkiller

FOFL!!! .. I love this guy

Russert shows poll. (he always resorts to polls, doesn't he?) Mehlman has refuting poll numbers of his own. Way to go Mehlman!! (This guy really is good).

I would have liked it if Mehlman referenced THIS poll.

The Gallup organization noted that public trust in television news and newspapers reached an all-time low this year, with 28 percent of responders expressing high confidence in them.

Apparently, Valerie Plame ceased to be a covert agent when her cover was blown years earlier. The CIA believed that Aldrich Ames (CIA agent/KGB spy/traitor) revealed her role, along with many other operatives, to the KGB before his arrest in 1994. Plame’s former existence as a secret agent became little more than cocktail party chatter with which to thrill the uninitiated. Since her identity was not classified, not secret, and she had not been assigned to duty outside the United States in the last five years, revealing her mundane desk job with the CIA was simply not a crime. After all, lots of people work for the CIA.

Ombudsman scolds NYTimes for slamming military.

Russert & NBC need Ombudsman or else they will be scolded by the public.

Very good post. For a second, I thought you were plagerizing, as I knew I read that before. LOL! You wrote it before. Nice job. I do believe you are right in your analysis, and we have set a honey-pot for them to try their mettle against our best. In this regard, they lose. Better than any US city, for sure. Why some people can't see this is beyond me.

I also particularly liked Neil's recent interview with the President. He was very respectful and allowed "W" to answer without constantly interrupting him.

There seem to be too many 'one issue' conservative voters - who want everyone to agree with them 100% of the time or it is time to bash them.

"Oh, now Podesta calling it a matter of 'utmost national security"

John Podesta who should be in Federal prison for the rest of his life for all the lies he told under oath and the damage he did to this country! Who cares what that jerk has to say?! I guess they couldn't get anyone else stupid enough to go on and try to defend what Joe Wilson and his "double super secret spy" wife who should be fired for politicizing the CIA and trying to bring down a president with the help of her former ambassador husband.
