CBS and NBC this week has allowed Joe Wilson, a partisan hack known liar, to appear on their shows and not point out that he was discredited by a Congressional Investigation!!!
BIAS!!! BIAS!!! BIAS!!! BIAS!!!

So Wilson going public in the NYT with a op-ed full of lies about classified infomation was the first violation in this entire non scandal. Actually, no.
That would be the first public outing during the affair. You can go back several steps before that for violations of the treatment of classified information (Wilson speaking to David Corn) and his wife violating conflict of interest laws by recommending he get the call in the first place.
What we basically have here is an attempt by the Clinton friendly elements in CIA and State to undermine the President of the United States after the 9/11 attacks. This is perhaps the most serious threat to American democracy in 150 years.
And it's still the dims trying to destroy this country.

Ken Mehlman just ate Timmy Russert's lunch.
The potato turned totally red.
If he gets in that Plame's boss has said that she was not a covert agent and hadn't been for over five years, it's all over.

There was a picture on 1 of the threads here in the past few weeks of Wilson and Plame in a receiving line w Bill and Hill at the WH. Did no one know then that she was a CIA employee or did they just think she was the demure Mrs. Wilson? My bet is the former.

I think they have already cashed in pretty good. Either book or movie rights for half a mill I heard.

Which suggests reporters should have their political leanings disclosed as part of their "professional" requirement.
It should be a (D) after her name the same as any other politician.
This way we know what she says is meaningless and we can change the channel.

I didn't see the picture, but believe it. This whole event is a made for television production and clearly a fantasy being persued by the left. It's giving the Democarts a forum so they can try convincing the public they are tough on crime and national security.
To: Seattle Conservative
Uh,Oh Bubba and Plame, don't go there he is way to busy to service them all.

"Congress and Administration that gives me about 75% of what I want, and listen to me on the other 25%"
I can see your point. I am, however, a Libertarian. Watching Bush, who I thought was at least conservative, push forward bills like the Patriot Act --incorporating all of Reno's wish list, like "know your customer" which we defeated during Clinton's admin-- and passed by a Republican Congress are very disconcerting to me.
I see. I guess I can understand it being more then a little favorable to the Libertarian line myself. However, I also understand that in politics you have to give a little to get a little. When I look at the other sides complete disregard for ANY restraint on Government Power (Campaign Finance "reform", Attack on Personals Property Rights, "Gun" Control, Hate Speech codes, Affirmative Actions, "Disability" laws etc etc etc) I find it hard to work up much angst about a war time measure like the Patriot Act crafted to directly address chinks in our national security armor. For example, what possible objection can there be to linking a wiretap directly to a suspect rather then to a particular phone used by the suspect? OR what possible objection can we have to tearing down the Gorelick Wall build during the Clinton Administration years to prevent sharing of information between Intelligence Agencies and Law Enforcement? I understand the need to limit Govt as much as possible, but I also understand the need for that Govt to be able to protect us from people who want to kill us simply because we ARE Americans.

Kiran (the stupid lib) had the audacity to call Press Secretary Scott McClellan a liar during her interview with Michael Barone.
These abortion crazy libs are going all-out on this one. I think this all boils down to weakening President Bush to the point where he doesn't feel he has the leverage to name a conservative to the Supreme Court. This is what it is all about. Period.

If this was WWII the Wilsons would be treated like the Rosenbergs. Sadly if we had this press corpse the Rosenbergs would be the toast of the town.

Well to each their own. My apologises to Ms Chetry. I mis remembered who it was on that panel. Looking at her picture, she was not the one I found so appalling.
As for Fox Anchors I prefer to do the Dhue. And as far as that goes, Fox can put Juliet Huddy on reading the New York phone book 24/7 and I will STILL watch

Woodward actually making a pretty good point that lots of casual type conversations go on between various govt. officials and reporters all the time.
"They may cover 80 or 90 topics, to bring in a special prosecutor with a tank will probably end a lot of those conversations, it's unnecessary," accd. to Woodward.
Pretty good take I thought.

I am convinced the liberals are going berserk over this because they found out (focus groups and polling) they are perceived by the public as weak on defense, national security AND the Supreme Court. This whole thing is not about Rove as much as it's about damaging Bush and Republicans, as well as showing the public they are serious on these important issues.
