Great post. I totally agree.
Especially your last part where you state "so they just ignore it."
There was no mention at all of our over all plan in Iraq which is to train Iraqis to create their own destiny. Like I said before it looks like they "forgot" to mention that. This does appear to be nothing more that just another rat/crew trying to spin more heads.

It's not just that people don't trust the media, it's also about when the polls are taken, the way the questions are worded, and the tendency for people to respond with the "approved" answer -- theone they think the poller wants to hear
Not only that, it is where and when polls are taken. If you poll major Urban areas (Dim Party strong holds) you are going to get one result, if you ask in a Red State, you get a different response. But the way you phrase a question is also vital. Suppose you ask THIS question
With Gasoline at over $2.00 a gallon in most places, do you think President Bush and the Republicans are doing a ----- job on the economy?
The problem the Hysteric Left, and it's mouthpieces in the Dinosaur Media, have is they create these biased polls, conduct them to get the result they desire, then broadcast the results as if they are reality rather then what they WANT reality to be. Funny, you would think that after reality smacked them so hard in the face the last 3 elections, they would come to realize the "news media" polls are irrelevant as a measurement of reality.

Yep... I always hate when the 'token conservative' is a limp-wristed mush like Linsay.
I used to feel the same way when that boe-tie freak Tucker would be treated as 'the conservative guy' on roundtables.

Specter says the SC has taken on too much power and judicial restraint is very important. Says Bush stands above the fray and is not beholden to any group. Specter wants someone on the court who is a swing vote. He made contradictory points and Brit called him on it.

Flip over to the Sports Reporters on ESPN. You'll get a much more of a debate.

"Oh, now Podesta calling it a matter of 'utmost national security"
"Hmmm wonder if Mr Podesta feels the same way about all those CIA reports that were leaked to the NY Times last year claiming Iraq was such a disaster area."
Or, Sandy Burglar stealing classified documents out of the Nat'l Archives, or JFK revealing the name of a REAL CIA OPERATIVE during the Bolton hearings, or Hitlery having numerous FBI files, etc., etc.

The MSM is supposed to REPORT the news, not MAKE it.
The SCOTUS is supposed to rule on the CONSTITUTIONALITY of laws, not LEGISLATE.

MEET THE PRESS
Russert shows TIME cover. Cooper says the first time he knew about Plame was from Rove. (very damaging if true, just as damaging if Fitzgerald believes it is true.)
Cooper says there may be other government sources than Libby and Rove who told him about Valerie Plame.
Russert replays Cooper's announcement without showing Cooper's dramatic, deceptive reason why he could now testify. Cooper goes into a long-winded response, but does not mention or apologize for his drama queen performance.
Russert asks a tough question: "you mentioned "other governement sources". "Did you get special confidentiality waivers from them"? Cooper refuses to respond.
Too bad, but predictable, Russert moves on to long term effect on TIME for revealing sources and documentation.
Spector's hearing on The Shield Law this week will take on new significance because Cooper is testifying. EXPECT THE DEMOCRATS TO TURN IT INTO A BASH ROVE PHOTO OP.
Cooper asked his biggest regret. He calls all this "A War On Wilson"

Being a Democrat means never having to say you're sorry.

I linked to Newsweek's story about Rove and then went to the next story on the prosecutor by Michael Koran. It was very interesting. It seems that official Washington had a negative opinion about Fitzgerald when he was going after reporters (black hat). However, now that he might be going after a Bush administration official official Washington is rethinking their opinion of Fitzgerald (white hat). The most disconcerting thing is that the story ended with a leak from the leak prosecutor's office on how he stiffed Rove's lawyer.
My opinion is that the left media is giving Fitzgerald a choice, be a hero or be destroyed.

Landrieu questions the sincerity of the President's consultations on the SC nomination. She is slimy, imho. Thnks the Prez should appoint someone the Senate can agree on to keep the country together.
