And the media. I saw this on CNN International last night and the (American) reporterette was SMILING as she reported it. It turned my stomach.
The media supports and reinforces the terrorists with their Hate Bush Agenda.
PING
You don't see what I see.
You see what the media tells you to see.
Good thing the hundreds of soldiers in Iraq I have spoken with and those with whom I interact on a daily basis don't appear to feel that way.
C'mon, fess up...you've been watching TV news and reading newspapers and believing them, haven't you?
Didn't the Dan Rather and Newsweek debacles teach people anything about believing the media's lies?
I would ask the media why a Shi'ite-majority Iraqi government is a bad thing when the majority of the Iraqi people are Shi'ite, but then I remember these are the same people who feel Democrats have a divine right to power no matter what their minority status.
If they go to the original source, and try to find out what's really going on in Iraq, they know we're winning.
The "Q" word is a dead giveaway to willful ignorance..............or an inexplicable affection for Ted Kennedy. ;)
I suggest that Search4Truth tries to live up to his/her name.
No, the agenda of the terrorists is one and only one thing: World Calphate, at any cost.
My friend, if there are no infidels in your area, how can you receive your 72 whores? Why surely there must be some devient upon whom Jihad is deserved.
What better way for a terrorist group to achieve such an ancient, yet individually unattainable, goal than to use the rest of the world to do most of the foot work and achieve most of it for them?
Of course Calphate is the underlying agenda that has brought about such terroristic destruction in the last 60 or so years.
"None of the families I know with men in this war want to re-up to die in this politically hamstrung quagmire.
"That sentence is a bunch of bunk from start to finish. "
You must know all the families I do. LOL."
I'll be headding back into the fray shortly, and proud to do so.
Anyone catch Drugereport?
Article today/night on " Iraq's being pushed into a Civil War after last Bombing" or something like that.
Just what the democrats would want!--why not--THEY have been " suggesting " everything to the terrorists! Iraqi's! everyone not so the WAR/Ecomony/Education EVERYTHING just FAILS--but only to try to get BUSH to fail!
Democrats!!!--would shot a hole with a cannon of the ships front and stern just to kill a fly--drowning everyone just to say that THET could do it!!
Tom
triggering the full-blown sectarian war that al-Qaeda has been trying to foment for almost two years.
The article was " Weekend of Slaughter popels Iraq toawrds all-out Civil War"
Who else by ALREAY to write gleefully about a Civil wa that hasn't EVEN BEN TALKED ABOUT!!??--why ; the Times of course!!

So let's remember that Loose lips sink ships., and stop talking about all this.
They remind me of certain Southerners who refused to acknowledge when the federal government soundly defeated them in 1865.
So they engaged in a campaign of terror and violence (think the KKK). Cross burning and lynyching was a form of terrorism, designed to thwart the nation-building that the occupying Union army was engaged in.
Really? You must get entirely different security briefings than the ones I get.
:eyeroll:
You are aware that there is another national election in Iraq in December? You are aware that Saddam Hussein goes on trial "by the end of the summer?"
Things are improving here and have been over the last several months. But the thought that this will be "mostly wrapped up by the end of the summer" would certainly raise some eyebrows among CENTCOM and the troops on the ground.
Did you just make that whole thing up?
The terror attacks in Iraq are on the wane, and once again President Bush has been vindicated.

I'm not some mind-numbed robot who believes everything I'm told. I have some pretty good sources and will stack what I know about the situation in Iraq against what you know any day.
If you have a problem with that, check my Profile page.
And pay attention to what I've been saying before you go popping off. I have refuted the media's doom and gloom on many occasions and have touted the progress happening here. However, your comment about it all being over by the end of summer is woefully misguided.
While I've met some delightful FReepers from the Class of 2004, that group also seems to have an amazing amount of people with arrogance combined with lack of knowledge or manners.
