Fox News' White House Wendell Goler reported tonight that Congressional Democrats have inquired with the Library of Congress whether administration officials like Karl Rove can be impeached.

This was reported with a straight face by Goler......

And the rats still think getting rid of Rove will solve all of their problems. If they keep this up, Rove can take the next six months off.

Perhaps we should pursue the impeachment of John Kerry for outing an undercover CIA operative during the Bolton hearings. Rush played the audio today and it was very clear that Bolton was surprised that Traitor-boy Kerry mentioned this guy by name.

I heard that! As a former Dem myself, I know that the vast majority of liberals have amnesia (not to mention a heavy dose of hypocrisy) when it comes to the questionable doings of their own kind. The thing that impressed me most about conservatives was once a politico steps over the line--and it is proven via logic and facts--they are not hesistant to get rid of the rotting fruit.

This Rove frenzy has all the earmarks of yet another bust for the Dems and their willing shills--the MSM. I'm lovin it!

This is more proof that the Democrats are Constitutional illiterates but what the hell, the Constitution "means" whatever 5 out of 9 black robes say it is...isn't it?

I missed the part of the Constitution that authorizes Congress to impeach Assistant Chiefs of Staff. Which Article is that?

It must be in the penumbra, probably the one between articles 2 and 3. :=)

I'm sure the Florida Supreme Court would impeach him, just ask alGore and his 2000-election lawyers!!!

Please, people. Have a little sympathy for the Democrats. It's difficult being both insane and stupid.

Just out of curiosity, is there a precise legal meaning of "civil officers of the United States? (those who may be impeached)"

It appears that no one lower in authority than cabinet member has been impeached. I was looking for a formal distinction -- but couldn't find it.

I'm sure a Republican House led by Tom DeLay will get right on that.

I can't believe that just a short time ago I admired Lindsay Graham. Now he just sounds like a whining dem.

Unless convicted of a crime, only the president can remove his appointees once they have been approved. That's what the Johnson impeachment was all about...and since his acquittal, this has been considered settled gov't policy.

The only thing that should be impeached is a nice hot cobbler, fresh from the oven. Or it could be imcherried.

So not even a cabinet member may be impeached now?

I thought the Johnson impeachment was about the President's right to fire.

Drudge had Larry on a couple of weeks back. Then Drudge to explain his reasoning for giving the "creepy liar" air
time to a caller or two.

He probably got IM'd to death too.

Was O'Donnell on his meds on CNN? (Unlike his pMSNBC appearance)

I've always believed that only elected officials and those confirmed by Congress can be impeached. Political staffers like Rove do not have to be confirmed, therefore they serve strictly at the pleasure of the President.

There's this guy at the local BP gas station who always tries to shortchange me.

I need to find out if I can get Congress to impeach him.

This is payback for Rove's brilliance. He shamed them in the '04 election. They threw their "weapons of mass destruction" at President Bush: Michael Moore, Soros' millions, movie stars, voter fraud, Move On, tons of famous musicians, etc., etc., etc., and PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH still won the election!!!
