BLITZER: But the other argument that's been made against you is that you've sought to capitalize on this extravaganza, having that photo shoot with your wife, who was a clandestine officer of the CIA, and that you've tried to enrich yourself writing this book and all of that.
What do you make of those accusations, which are serious accusations, as you know, that have been leveled against you.
WILSON: My wife was not a clandestine officer the day that Bob Novak blew her identity.
BLITZER: But she hadn't been a clandestine officer for some time before that?
WILSON: That's not anything that I can talk about. And, indeed, I'll go back to what I said earlier, the CIA believed that a possible crime had been committed, and that's why they referred it to the Justice Department.
She was not a clandestine officer at the time that that article in Vanity Fair appeared. And I have every right to have the American public know who I am and not to have myself defined by those who would write the sorts of things that are coming out, being spewed out of the mouths of the RNC...

Facts don't matter to the dems.
WILSON: That's not anything that I can talk about...
Yeah Joe, but it was something you DID write about....in your book....for fun and profit.
agree.
Sir Walter Scott once stated, "Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive." Is it possible, that this Wilson thing is not turning out as planned.
I can't believe you don't "get it". She was undercover when Rove talked about her, but not when Joe Wilson did. Even if Joe talks about her before Rove, she is not undercover. Then she becomes undercover again, the second before Rove or someone talks about her. It's like a superpower or something. It's very cool. I'm undercover, now I'm not, oh wait, now I am again. Can't you see that?
Game, set, match.
In the latest sessions: Rove 2, Democrats 0.
They are soooo disgusting. I don't know who was more disgusting today, Wilson or Schumer? What an un-entertaining dog & pony show That was!

So she's no longer a clandestine officer. Does that mean she's no longer capable of speech?
Come on Joe, let the little lady speak. Don't be so "Taliban" about your women.
Wow, I 'get it' now, but I'm dizzy and nauseous.
So Charlie Gibson, Terry Moran and that Gregory guy from MessNBC will now accuse HIM of a "Clinton-like dodge"?
You admitted she wasn't undercover. So what the hell is this all about, you fathead?
The Rove thing is over. Wanna bet it will be on some left wing protest signs in the future?
They just don't get it.
Joe's a guy who used specific language for 20 years and if he's that dumb to not understand the act and it's definition of Covert AGent, then the taxpayers deserve a 20 year refund from Crazy Joe.
It's beginning to be like "Wilson's undercover wife" is like the "thing" that Steve Martin on SNL would look at and say
"What IS..that? WHAT..is that? What is ..THAT?"
They never have, and they never will. They're obstructions.
With a loudmouthed showboater like Joe Wilson as her spouse, it's virtually certain that every reporter and cabbie in DC knew Valerie Phlame was a letter-agency employee.
In addition, the overwhelming majority of letter-agency employees are not clandestine, and in Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia they don't seem shy about telling folks where they work.
Joe - ESAD!
I don't know if the game is over or not. This story is so darned complicated at this point that only us afficionados know what is going on. By now all the average person knows is that the media says that Karl Rove did something awful.
There are at least 99 discrepancies in the MSM story, plus one basic contradiction: the same media that are bitching that Rove gave away Plame's identity are the ones who gave away Plame's identity. Then they bitch when they are investigated, and refuse to cooperate. Then they claim that justice demands that Rove should be punished but they should be let off, because they are VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE.
After all, news reporters have their own special constitutional right to do whatever they want, plus they get to go to the best cocktail parties, be paid high salaries, and look down their noses at us ignorant peons.
