The transcript of yesterday's Wolf Blitzer show is online. Just watch, today's transcript won't be up for a while due to technical difficulties.

Of course he refuses to say so. If it was more than five years before her alleged "outing" - and his own book says he and his wife returned to the States in 1997 - then he effectively admits there was no crime. See 50 USC 426

I'll lay odds that J Miller is in fact protecting Ms.Plame.
Ms. Plame probably had Miller's ear after probably knowing each other on the cocktail circuit for a few years.
What if this doesn't stop with Plame? What if there is proven to be a massive concerted effort within Bush-haters in the CIA to "color" and "deceive" as Bush laid out his rationale for the Iraq invasion???
Now, that COULD be what this grand jury is trying to investigate. I don't think they give two hoots in hell about Karl Rove. This story is wwwwaaaaayyyy beyond Rove, but Wilson et al, HAVE to continue to make Rove front and center, so as to avoid any scrutiny of his/her actions.

Unless the Grand Jury keeps on churning and churning and keeping this investigation alive. Many times it is not the original action that keeps something alive but the way it is handled by people involved (Watergate, Martha Stewart). Rove has released the reporters from secrecy about what they told him and appears to have cooperated with every request from the grand jury... looks like he is being transparent. Who has something to hide in all this? Maybe it's the guy who can't keep his story straight.

It means to BUMP this comment and thread to the top of the Latest Post page; when I post to it, the software automatically pushes this thread to the top of the Latest post threads page
And it also is used to agree with a comment.

i thought she was afraid of being attacked by her chair, since she was a "covert desk operative" at the time she was "outed."
them pencil sharpeners get really mean to their opponents.

What I wonder is, is it a crime to willingly 'out' an agent if you think they are covert but actually are not. This is why Wilson and Colling are in deep doo doo.

They can try all they want, but Fletcher is not shutting this thing down. From what I understand, it's gone off in different directions. I think the Dims and MSM are running scared.

If she wasn't a covert operative, then she was just someone who worked for the CIA (and got her husband an assignment, which makes her relevant).
It's not a crime to say someone works for the CIA. Or is it?
PORTER GOSS WORKS FOR THE CIA.

"Assuming Fitzgerald knows this, is it possible that the Grand Jury is looking at something else that came up in the course of the investigation, e.g., perjury before Congress by Wilson in the Senate hearing? How narrow is the scope of the Special Prosecutor?"I understand that this 'Plame" inquiry has sprouted some additional tentacles. As to Wilson, I think he might have got a 'target' letter, hence his reappearance on the scene for sympathy. I wish that Wolf would ask him that and whether he has testified to the GJ....
