Malachi, I have had that thought concerning Natalee's friends. There is something they are hiding in their story.

I watched them being interviewed and sensed some possible extracurricular activites on the low low they were reluctant to reveal.

I as a ole bama soda cracker, just have that gut feeling those butterbeans are not adding up. NSNR

(We have a phone directory at Mtn. Brook, but it lists home numbers of students... if she called people about graduation tickets she owuld have called their home numbers and likely from her home phone instead of wasting her cell minutes.)

I'm assuming this is referencing the call/message that Beth and Croes listened to 3 times. Wasn't he initially contacted because of where the call originated from?

My thoughts exactly. Somebody needs to take these kids out to the woodshed. My daddy used to have a boat paddle that he sculled his flat bottom boat with when he went fly fishing, ooooooo man, that thing would set you right. My mother used to use switches off of the hedge in our backyard. We visited my aunt in Montgomery one week and she had one less bush in her backyard when we left. I can remember my mom chasing me around VULCAN in Birmingham with a switch. I was bad little sh*t.

Beth states that she feels that she has to proceed so caustiously with what is ahead for her. Beth is pleased with the results of today, but she fears what is ahead.

She knows that evidence is needed for charges to be filed, but she does not know what else is needed. She does not know definitively what Joran's part in Natalee missing.

Beth does not have any plans for the next couple of days, she wonders what else she can do to set the wheels in motion for more extensive search for Natalee.

Beth thinks of Natalee's roommate who is going through a very difficult time.

Greta states that Beth keeps a 3-ring binder of all info regarding the investigation.

That was my take on it Dolphy. I think that through all the confusion and frustration that some assumed that it was Natalee. But after heads cleared and people were able to think, I believe that they reached the conclusion that it was not Natalee. Jmo.

Talking about carry weapons. During the summer I keep a Taurus Titanium .38 five shot in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster. During the winter, it's my trusty PARA Carry(which I'm trying to sell to get out of the doghouse)in either a Galco middle of the back holster or a Fobus slide.
NSNR you really need to look into Walter Birdsong's Black-T or Green-T.

ARUBA SUSPECT NO POKER FACE

July 14, 2005 -- JORAN Van Der Sloot, the prime suspect in the disappearance in Aruba of vacationing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, is already guilty — of being a lousy poker player.

Van Der Sloot, the 17-year-old son of an Aruban justice official, is being held in connection with the vanishing of 18-year-old Holloway. He was a bad bluffer and lost big during a Texas Hold 'Em tournament on the Caribbean island back in April.

Miami club impresario Tommy Pooch, who played next to Van Der Sloot for more than two hours, tells us the Dutch-born youth "was as nice as can be, but he was a terrible poker player.

"He kept buying back in, and finally he got knocked out when they stopped buy-ins," Pooch said. "He was a terrible bluffer . . . He was a young, excitable kid. He wore the sunglasses and the baseball cap like they do on TV, but even that didn't help."

Van Der Sloot must have had a habit of losing money in the poker room of the Holiday Inn-Aruba. "It seemed like everyone knew him there," Pooch said. "It was his hangout. He knew all the dealers by name. He was a local yokel."

Last week, an Aruba judge released two brothers held as suspects in the disappearance of Holloway, but ordered that Van Der Sloot be kept in custody for another 60 days. Holloway was last seen around 1 a.m. on May 30 leaving a local nightclub with Van Der Sloot and his buddies Satish Kalpoe, 18, and his brother Deepak, 21.

It was the last day of Holloway's high school graduation trip with her classmates.

This week's National Enquirer advances the theory that Van Der Sloot confessed to his father that he dumped Holloway's body in shark-infested waters after she accidentally hit her head and drowned in an Ecstasy-induced stupor on an Aruban beach.

A source told the tabloid that Van Der Sloot and Holloway went swimming together after meeting at the club and taking drugs together.

"Natalee fell, hit her head on a rock and drowned," the Enquirer quotes its source. "In a drug-and-alcohol induced panic, Joran felt he had no other choice but to dispose of Natalee's body in the sea."

Van Der Sloot has not been charged, and his family maintains his innocence.

According to Satish's attorney the text messages that are in evidence are not incriminating for any of the 3, Satish, Deepak, and Joran.

I think that at first Joran was trying to push it on her then got pissed and decided to spike her drink. You know the "I'll show this little you know what who's boss..."

That's what is most likely. He and his buddies are players and as such have reputations to protect. Earlier you said that Jurine was a sociopath...Aruba incubates that in local boys in that tourists (girls) are seen as something less than human. They are objects particularly to the hormonally enhanced teens like Jurine. The first red flag of sociopathology is the lack of a conscience. Aruba bridges the gap.

You can see Jurine's lack of compassion on his face. A person with a conscience would be unable to walk. Jurine can not only walk...he can stare into the camera and smile. Sociopathology is not as rare as the people think. Getting caught for a sociopathic act. That is indeed rare.

Beth seems so worn down, tired and sad. I don't know how she keeps going day after day, not knowing where her precious daughter is or if she is dead or alive. Perhaps there is still a chance Natalee is alive. There was a rumor early on that she was being held in the basement of Lorenso, I think. It was about the same time the reporter said 3 men and two women were being followed who had Natalee and were trying to take her to Venzuala (sp).

Beth must get so frustrated by all the unknowns in this case. No wonder she said she isn't going to say much about how she feels and etc. Also knowing the police chief is best buds with PVDS, would make things even worse.

I wonder if Natalee's future college roommate was on the trip. Speaking of roommates, does anyone know if her actual roommates at the HI, have ever been interviewed by the media. Was Dash one of her roommates the HI?

As to the cell phone call - Has it ever been said, just exactly who received that call?

Watching Greta....Miller said last night that some guy just drove up and told them to go search where that gravelike hole was found. Maybe the guy dug the hole and sent them on a wild goose chase......so frustrating!

And where is the ground search radar thingy that was going to be used today? Greta just showed a dog sniffing around. Is that the "machinery"?

Watching Greta, also. Didn't get his name but he told Greta that Joran had a fight 'that' night at CC. He showed up at school the next day with a black eye.

Tito on Greta reported that students at Joran's school stated that Joran showed up at school the next day after Natalee went missing with a black eye that Joran stated that he received from a fight with some of his friends.
