Those BEAUTIFUL granddaughters of yours on your home page, you'd move heaven and earth for them. That's what Beth is trying to do. Nothing I say on here can help find Natalie. But by paying attention to it, I think of her and pray for her family often throughout the day. When I heard about Shasta Groene I prayed for her and her brother as well. You just don't know how a thread like this might help someone else be just a little more careful, or might get the info out a little quicker next time and the story will have a different ending.

I posted that for "cleel," the person who said it's foolish for us to care about Natalee, not for you, Graybeard. I don't understand the mixup.
We have discussed other missing and or killed individuals.
The last time I checked this was America. Land of the Free, free the thing that Matt and others are/were fighting for, for us and for the Iraqis.
And it appears that a few here want to stiple others freedom to post and reflect on subjects that interest them.
When you post on a subject that draws your interest do you expect for others to criticize you. Its a shame and sad for anyone to have to go through this regardles of thir nationality, hair and or eye color.

Matt is a member of the 724th Transportation Company and the only U.S. soldier MIA/POW in this war. My son was in Iraq with Matt and about 120 other members.
My son came home, Matt did not.
Matt is the ONLY missing in this war.
You haven't seen me try to tell you what to post and what not to post nor have I criticized you for it.
You are correct. The last of the Special Forces Green Beret's body was found in Afghanistan this past Sunday.
Thank your son for me for serving our country, and he and Matt will be in my prayers.

I never said it was "foolish" to "care" about Natalee. However, IMO Natalee is beyond earthly care and concern; she is with God and all the angels. Believe it or not, I cried for her family, and I have prayed for their comfort and acceptance during what has to be the most miserable time for any family that has ever lost a child; for whatever reason.
I think it is foolish to spend so much time and energy rehashing NO NEW INFORMATION after countless threads and media reports on the subject.
First it was the Chandra Levy case, then the Peterson case, then the Blake case, then the "Gloved One's" case. Life is full of innumerable personal tragedies; it is far better to devote your energy and emotion to issues where you MIGHT be able to do some good, instead of propping up the media ratings with this neverending nonsense.

Where is the 724th Transportation Co. stationed? Is your son active duty....still in?
It's a reserve unit in Bartonville, Illinois. My son is a cop in civillian life.
Matt Maupin is from Batavia, Ohio and transferred to the Bartonville unit.
Sent prayers and support to Natalee's family which is more than you have done. Not that it is any of your business.
Why don't you go trash someone else's thread. Some people would like to know what is happening in this case. If you don't please ignore the thread that says Natalee Holloway.
As for "what's happening in this case", the answer is NOTHING.
No body, no confession - no case. Just a media feeding frenzy for ratings purposes. That's all that is "happening".
Natalee's aunt happens to be a friend of mine. And you are NOT my FRiend.
