You must remember that Aruba is known for disappearing documents.

I'd do everything in my power to get my child/grandchild back.

However, the media isn't helping, nor are the FR threads. The constant media spotlight on this case certainly can't be doing the family any good.

Prayer is the only thing that can help her family, now. I am convinced the girl is in Heaven, and her remains will never be found. Justice for her killer(s), except before God, is probably a longshot as well.

Bleak, I know... but it seems like reality to me.

I have to keep up with these things. My hubby wants one of everything. LOL! The last two guns I bought him were the S&W .500 and .480 Ruger. The new S&W appears to be a bit redundant, so I'm not going to mention the release just yet.

Big day today, TK! Fingers crossed :)

Dark Skies, I don't know for SURE that Nat's medication was an Inhaler. I'm only just reading it on the other thread..THAT SAID..

" Asthma triggers differ for different people and depend on the individual's level of sensitivity. Mental stress, extreme emotions and trauma can also trigger off the immune system and cause asthma attacks."

In the extreme, death can occur.

Morning TexKat. I see you're taking a little heat today for taking an interest in Natalee's disappearance and the grief her family must be experiencing. Keep your chin up and the information flowing as this thread in my only source of updates. Thank you.

Good idea. Their website shows the location of their embassy and four general consulate offices in the United States.

I just did some reading on rohypnol and asthma and there is a definite link. Roofies can seriously impact on the respiratory system. It seems that respiration depression and failure is cause of many of the fatalities that result from that drug. Lots of supposition, but roofies are prevalent on Aruba.

I think that would get their attention, we have been to quiet here in the states and I think they need a dose of "dont dare treat our people that way" reality!

I have no idea how to get the word out to those who could set up something like this, maybe the Klass foundation?

Court’s verdict tomorrow Lawyers: ‘No new evidence OM’

ARUBA – According to Joran’s lawyer Kock, the OM has not presented new evidence against the 17-year old suspect. “As far as we know, the DNA-research didn’t prove anything. Also the forensic investigation nor the F-16’s resulted in nothing.

Joran’s lawyer explained that his client has been changing his statements due to the heavy pressure that the police exerted on him. Also the lawyers of the brothers Kalpoe indicated that the OM does not have new incriminating material. According to the lawyers, the OM did add new material, but not incriminating for his client.

Judge Pieter ter Berg came over from Curacao to hear the suspects, the OM and the lawyers. He returned to Curacao to inform two other judges in Curacao about the hearing. The verdict will be passed in Curacao and the Court will announce the decision on the appeal at 14:00 from Curacao.

Beth said that Natalee wouldn't have run away without her meds.

I wish we knew for certain if her medication was indeed an Asthma Inhaler?

IF it was, then what you and I both mention is a real possibility.

Last investigation attempt by Texas EquuSearch

ARUBA – The Texas EquuSearch searched for two weeks for the disappeared Natalee Holloway with no success. The group was supposed to leave today, but, due to some statements of Joran van der Sloot, they decided to stay a few days longer in order to conduct a last search near the Fisherman’s Huts.

The team of volunteers have searched caves, lagoons, and other locations on the island, but found no trace of the American student. Last Friday, the Florida State Divers of the Florida State University’s Underwater Crime Scene Investigation Department in Panama City assisted them in their search. With the use of very advanced tracing equipment with sensors that can be controlled remotely, the American dive team had searched for the missing girl from Friday till Tuesday, after which they left, because they couldn’t find anything. If also this last search is not successful, the group of volunteers will leave Aruba this Sunday.

Thanks for that update. Okay like I said we need to take matters into our own hands and form a group and demonstrate, this is really upsetting.

Once ES Leaves who will continue the search? One man and one woman, this is terrible!

Interesting reading all the posts on this thread. Just to throw something else out for consideration (as none of us know yet what really happened) but from the beginning I've felt she is alive and was kidnapped by some sex slavers. It's possible that Joran and the Kalpoe's did take her to the beach and there were some "pirates" (for want of a better word) who grabbed her and whisked her away to Venezuela or one of those other islands. Certainly Joran and the Kalpoe's would know what happened but also would know what would happen to them (or members of their families) if they told. Those kidnappers ain't boy scouts. I still suspect that's what happened otherwise some trace of her would have turned up somewhere with all the searchers, dogs and equipment that has been used trying to locate her and there's been nothing, zero, nada, zilch.

Reprimand chief district attorney not according to rules

ARUBA – “Usually, all disciplinary sanctions come through us. I have not seen the reprimand of the chief district attorney Karin Janssen”, said Harold Boersen, director of the Governor’s Cabinet. “It is possible that there is another procedure for disciplinary measures against magistrates.”

The governor and the responsible minister sign all letters with disciplinary measures against government officials. This has not yet happened in the case of Janssen. Maybe it’s not an official reprimand but just a heavy collision with harsh words.

“Normally, the governor is the authorized power for disciplinary measures. This is recorded in the National Ordinance Material Labour Law, the LMA”, said Boersen. He is not completely sure whether this procedure is also for members of the Public Prosecution. “I do not know their legal position status. The LMA states that the attorney general does not fall under these articles of the LMA. I’m not sure if that also counts for chief district attorneys.” According to Boersen, disciplinary sanctions are always announced first. “In the letter is stated that a disciplinary measure is being considered and that the defendant has 7 days to respond to the governor.”

Janssen didn’t want to answer the question whether she will submit a plea against the reprimand. An underlying motive for the conflict would have been the arrest of two MEP-supporters a few months ago. They supposedly have made threatening telephone calls from the Government-office. Chief of police Jan van Straten clashed with MEP Justice-minister Rudy Croes on this.

Saw Mr. Miller on Greta last night and he was very interested in the "burial site" they found. Nothing was in it, but he said it was about 6 ft by 4 ft and the sand was still piled by the side. He sort of (IMO) tried to say that it could have been a burial place for Natalee and then someone(s) dug her up and moved her. Also said that they are probably going to go to a body recovery mode and offer a reward and that they would say today how much that reward would be. (sorry for the amount of "ands" LOL)
