Last investigation attempt by Texas EquuSearch

ARUBA – The Texas EquuSearch searched for two weeks for the disappeared Natalee Holloway with no success. The group was supposed to leave today, but, due to some statements of Joran van der Sloot, they decided to stay a few days longer in order to conduct a last search near the Fisherman’s Huts.

The team of volunteers have searched caves, lagoons, and other locations on the island, but found no trace of the American student. Last Friday, the Florida State Divers of the Florida State University’s Underwater Crime Scene Investigation Department in Panama City assisted them in their search. With the use of very advanced tracing equipment with sensors that can be controlled remotely, the American dive team had searched for the missing girl from Friday till Tuesday, after which they left, because they couldn’t find anything. If also this last search is not successful, the group of volunteers will leave Aruba this Sunday.

Thanks for that update. Okay like I said we need to take matters into our own hands and form a group and demonstrate, this is really upsetting.

Once ES Leaves who will continue the search? One man and one woman, this is terrible!

Reprimand chief district attorney not according to rules

ARUBA – “Usually, all disciplinary sanctions come through us. I have not seen the reprimand of the chief district attorney Karin Janssen”, said Harold Boersen, director of the Governor’s Cabinet. “It is possible that there is another procedure for disciplinary measures against magistrates.”

The governor and the responsible minister sign all letters with disciplinary measures against government officials. This has not yet happened in the case of Janssen. Maybe it’s not an official reprimand but just a heavy collision with harsh words.

“Normally, the governor is the authorized power for disciplinary measures. This is recorded in the National Ordinance Material Labour Law, the LMA”, said Boersen. He is not completely sure whether this procedure is also for members of the Public Prosecution. “I do not know their legal position status. The LMA states that the attorney general does not fall under these articles of the LMA. I’m not sure if that also counts for chief district attorneys.” According to Boersen, disciplinary sanctions are always announced first. “In the letter is stated that a disciplinary measure is being considered and that the defendant has 7 days to respond to the governor.”

Janssen didn’t want to answer the question whether she will submit a plea against the reprimand. An underlying motive for the conflict would have been the arrest of two MEP-supporters a few months ago. They supposedly have made threatening telephone calls from the Government-office. Chief of police Jan van Straten clashed with MEP Justice-minister Rudy Croes on this.

Saw Mr. Miller on Greta last night and he was very interested in the "burial site" they found. Nothing was in it, but he said it was about 6 ft by 4 ft and the sand was still piled by the side. He sort of (IMO) tried to say that it could have been a burial place for Natalee and then someone(s) dug her up and moved her. Also said that they are probably going to go to a body recovery mode and offer a reward and that they would say today how much that reward would be. (sorry for the amount of "ands" LOL)
