WASHINGTON, July 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today in response to media inquiries about White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove's involvement in leaking the identity of CIA official Valerie Plame:
"The American people deserve the truth about who in the White House recklessly disclosed the identity of a CIA clandestine service officer, endangering our national security. The first President Bush called it a traitorous act to reveal the names of those involved in intelligence collection.
"The President said two years ago that he wanted to get to the bottom of this. If he were sincere, it would have happened. For two years, there has been an investigation that did not reveal Karl Rove's involvement until a reporter went to jail. It looks to me that there may have been some effort by people in the White House to obstruct the investigation.
"The President has said that anyone who leaked the identity of Ms. Plame should no longer be part of his Administration. The American people and Congress expect the President to keep his word. That means firing Karl Rove and anyone else in the White House if they identified her as a CIA clandestine service officer.

How would Pelosi know he committed perjury? Grand jury proceedings are supposed to be secret? Did somebody leak it to her? Haul her ass in and force her to reveal her source!

...after all, there motives are pure. (barf)
I am with you, but, why don't our elected Republicans see this? Any of them? Why don't they ever stand up to the libs and call them on any of these examples?

"The Dhimmicrats and the syncophant MSM pulled the ole "nothing to see here, move along" routine with Berger."
I made the same point on another thread. If Condi Rice had done what Berger did, it would have been the new Watergate scandal that the press has been dreaming about all these years - books would be written, and "Time" would name the archive employee who discovered the theft as Man of the Year.

What a great picture of Nancy Pelosi!
Tell me, though -- who is the person in the picture on the left?

I suppose after the Dems found Tom Delay guilty without trial it was a small step to convict Rove. Hang around and when they get their liberal judges in power they may convict you to.

Calm down, Nancy, and have a cup of
Wilson-Holgate tea.
You can buy more, if you like it, from Traitor Joe.

How could anybody say so many things that are just flat out stupid lies in a prepared statement? I have come to expect that she runs off at the mouth, but this pile of garbage was written in advance.
The only comfort is that now that Nancy Pelosi has jumped on the bandwagon, you can be absolutely sure that the horse pulling it is dead.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Dems huddled a few days ago and said something like this: "Look, we need to weaken the president before these Supreme Court nomination hearings, so let's make a big stink accusing Rove of breaking the law in the Plame case. We know it's a flimsy charge and it's not gonna stick, but it's something we can use against the president. Agreed? Now, here are the talking points . . . "

""The American people deserve the truth about who in the White House recklessly disclosed the identity of a CIA clandestine service officer, endangering our national security. The first President Bush called it a traitorous act to reveal the names of those involved in intelligence collection."
Her first sentence is a lie. Basing your statement upon a first sentence lie is a good way to make a fool of yourself.
I read somewhere that this woman was taken off of "clandestine" duty due to a person who sold secrets to the Soviets 9 YEARS before this "incident". Her husband had her name on his website, she was known all over Washington D.C. as a person who worked for the CIA....
Nancy Pelosi is just full of Bravo Sierra.

It's truly funny watching these CLOWNS act as though Plame is Agent 99 or the girl from U.N.C.L.E. who's about to be tortured by hostile spies thanks to Karl Rove
