Dems Leak Bush's Court Short List
Top Senate Democrats floated the names of potential candidates for the Supreme Court on Tuesday in a meeting with President Bush, describing them as...

Oh but, Nellie fits the D&Ger's perfectly.
Jones bump!
That's true, this could all be Dem hype. However, I have heard a lot about this, and Bush is definitely being extremely accomodating to them - something that has gotten him (and us) absolutely NOTHING in the past, and has simply encouraged them because they smell weakness.
Absolutely. We don't call them The Malcontents and The Unappeasables for nothing.
He's mine, all mine, I won't share.
Thompson's a good guy.
For a Supreme Court justice ... maybe a bit too much on the moderate side for my taste.
True. He may surprise us - this may have been simply for appearance's sake - but the way the Dems are crowing over it makes me very concerned.
Well, I hate that it turned into this....sorry, I attract them....:) anyway, we will all find out in due time who the nominee is.....I still have faith that the base of Republican Party will be very happy with Pres. Bush's nominee.
Don't let people who never get off their computers to actually go and work for the Republicans, ya know, go door-to-door, etc....tell you how to think or what to post.
Mark Levin is the main man!
That freak has it all wrong. You aren't obsessive....you're compulsive. Everyone with half a brain knows that. Of course, that doesn't include me because I require full-brain usage at all times. Sigh...it seems we blondes have to work harder at everything.....
Heh-Heh Laura said she gave it till noon before the names were leaked. Of course Bush knew that would be the case like everybody else who knows how these effeminate ninnies operate, so whoever he's going to nominate, I'm guessing it's not those names.
Why surprised?
It's not like there hasn't been a continued pattern of liberal behavior and actions within the GOP/Congress and the White House regarding spending, the deficit, trade policies, the borders, and many say, even conducting the war in Iraq.
Mark Levin would be good.
:)
You know what they say about assumptions.....
Yeah. I ASSUMED Bush was a good man, who supported the constitution when I VOTED for him. Oh yes, I know where assuming gets you!
I thought so too until I checked his record in the Senate. You may be right though. 12 years are not very long to base a life time job on.
You may be right. Here's hoping. I am just sick of this "bipartisan" stuff, because all it really means is that the Republicans give in (when they don't have to) and the Dems walk all over us (when they have no right to do so). I'll try to maintain a positive attitude until I hear a name - after which point I have every right to shriek and scream!
That said, his other appointees have been very good, although the Dems and the RINOs have been fighting him every step of the way.
That's the thing that bothers me - this "bipartisan" nonsense, which only seems to mean us giving in and them gloating.
LOL! What a riot!
