Sen. McCain [R-AZ] Strong Words On Supreme Ct Nomination at Dallas Fundraiser: 'During the campaign, President Bush said he will appoint judges who will strictly interpret the constitution... thinking anything else is either amnesia or ignorance... elections have consequences... whomever he nominates deserves an up or down vote and no filibuster... and an up or down vote is what we will have'...
We won't have to if McCain support Bush's nominees. Yes, he is THAT powerful. No one in America at this moment polls as high as McCain for 2008, like him or not. Senators can read polls.
Pat DeWine never had a chance. Irrelevant. You are right about the compromise. McCain sees people like Allen and Frist emerging who have decent base support, and he knows he will need them on his side that when S.C. comes around.
Hold tight. There is tomorrow coming.
Dang, am I going to have to rethink my negative view of McCain?
Hmmm...curiouser and curiouser...could McCain be :
1) Sincere
2) Prepping for '08
3) Finally reading his mail
"You have no idea what you are talking about.
You need a bunny with a pancake on its head."
Me thinks you're off your meds lady
McCain just ensured his spot on this week's Sunday talk shows, even if he didn't succeed in convincing or impressing me.
CAVEAT: Freepers, don't get your hopes too high about getting a conservative appointed to SCOTUS during Bush's administration. A word to the wise...
I want to HEAR those words from him with my own ears...and then see how he follows that up.
yes.....you've got that right.....McCain is a hated man here though his record still bears out he votes with Repubs 75% of the time....compared to Snowe, Collins or Spector which hover at 40% or so....it is just that McCain seems to pick the high profile issues to whine about against the party....that is why it seems like he is so against us when in reality, he does tend to vote 75% with us....his big ego and media hogging get in his way......glad to see someone here leave the emotion out of it and see him for what he really is......a mainly Republican opportunistic media whore....he has backed Bush more then railed against him
You are the smartest freeper ever (extreme sarcasm).
Oh please! I've heard some stupid whiny crap before, but that just about takes the cake!
Wanna bet $500 on that one? How about $1000? We can set up a paypal account for it!
I double dare you.
Last time I checked, McCain was actually at around 83% and Collins was around 50%, but you got the basic idea right.
There are so many morons around here that say they would stay home or vote for the D if McCain got the nomination, which is just beyond stupid. Don't get me wrong, I seriously, seriously doubt I'd ever vote for him in the primary, there are better candidates, but he's far better then any D (not counting Zell Miller) Sure, he's an attention whore, but he's on our side FAR more then he's not.
Post of the day...
yes.....lifetime you are right on.....except he was like 74% in 2004 and 73% in 2003 but overall in the 80s....I would not vote for him either in the Repub field but some call him a lib and that is just not the case....to stay home rather then vote for him over Hitlery is absurb as you rightly point out.......
Senator McCain can prove, with mathematical certainty, that the Democrat Senators stole the strawberries from the ship's refigerator. That's why he knows he can't trust them.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Great movie reference.
