Top 50 Most Influential Churches
The 2005 survey was sent to 2,000 church leaders with the goal of ranking the nations fastest growing churches and churches with more than 2,000 weekend attendance. The 127 churches nominated for the 50 Most Influential Churches survey were located in 32 states and represented 27 affiliation groups and/or denominations. The term affiliation is used to include networks of unaffiliated, independent churches.

Amen to your post#4-recreation centers-not churches.
I think they ranked churches that had at least 2,000 attendees.
Amen.

I can tell Brooklyn Tab music, too. It hurts to sing after a while. All of the men's parts seem to start above the staff, and go higher from there. They must really have something against basses up there, judging from the way they arrange their music.
The Lord added then, the Lord changes not, the Lord adds now. If a church ain't growing, there's a problem, of some kind... and it's not the Lord's fault, of that you can be very sure
Says who?
You made some interesting, and controversial, arguments. Your blanket statements condemning Moses appointing men to share the workload, stating that Moses was wrong and that he never sought the Lord's guidance in that (implying that large churches are bad because the pastor doesn't recall the names of every attendee by sight) - yet you provided not a single scripture reference to support your arguments. Do you have any, or are you just speculating based upon your own rationale/human reason?
Was the thief on the cross next to Jesus baptised? I believe he was saved.
See #54 above.
Whether 'influential' is a good thing or not depends on what the influence is.
Yeah.
See #63 above.
You gotta wonder what/who is being influenced, and how.
I just have one question about this statement. How do you feel about the temple God told Israel to build?
Doesn't really matter what Chuck, or you, or I think. Only matters what God thinks.
No, read it again. Right in the intro paragraph: "The 127 churches nominated for the 50 Most Influential Churches survey were located in 32 states and represented 27 affiliation groups and/or denominations.
You think the woman who got kidnapped would have been spared if she had read the kidnapper a few chapters of Deceived on Purpose?
Sorry, I posted before I got that far. I guess we have read the same book.
In case you missed it, #110.
He's right, it's a "mix of Madison Avenue hype, new age psychobabble and one-world Socialism, its mega scale involves mega money, and fraud."
Did you know that they do not have music to learn songs from? They start to memorize it as soon as they start learning a song. Or, that was the case when our old choir director went up there.
We spread our largesse around. Could you imagine the weekly mass attendance if there were only one or two parishes in, say, St. Louis or Baltimore?
exactly
uh - I didn't write that....
