Yes, Billie, I broke my ankle Friday night by tripping over my portable sewing machine. What can I tell you, I was born a klutz.

Unfortunately the break is not as minor as the ER doc and the ER report led me and my family doc to believe. I go in for surgery Friday morning to have a plate put in..

I do not like hopsitals and I like needles even less, so I'm sure you can all imagine I am not looking forward to the pre-op blood work tomorrow orthe surgery on Friday. On the bright side - I really do like the orthopedist..he's got a wicked sense of humor.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident I have had my own fair share of hospital the last few days with dad in since last Friday night.

Just a quick note to say why I have not posted on the thread the last few days. Dad was taken into hospital last Friday with suspected urinary tract infection. Running various tests showed that 2 of his tablets were affecting the liver. He has had an ultrasound to check this out but result inconclusive due to the fact he is constipated hopefully that has cleared today and so he will have another ultrasound and then they can go from there. Hopefully the problem with the liver has been caught before any damage but they need to sort alternative medication for him.

Sorry if most of you already know this but thought would just drop a note to let you know why I have not been around.
