Threat Matrix HTML designed by: Ian Livingston

There's a gigantic line between discontent and radicals demanding revolution and overthrow of governments. Violence throughout history has been their trademark. These people advocate assassinations and killing of "infidels" and politicians who disagree with them. To what limit do we advocate their "free speech?" Not profiling these people, or people who associate with them, is akin to giving permission to future suicide bombers IMHO.
Thanks LilyBean... I have been in contact with one of the mods, and got myself an account over there. Looks like you all do a good job following the threat as well. :)
made from "nitro-cellulite" which is undetected by security checks. ...
Maintaining his integrity is very important considering his work is incredibly thorough and far beyond what the average politician has ever done.
Our President already has a mindset completely opposite that of Tom Tancredo. Don't imagine Tancredo's views have ever made him too happy.
I'll look forward to reading your posts there. NeosGirl does most of the tracking of terrorists over there, but a few other posters also contribute. I have noticed that the terrorist threads have not been to active lately. I always come here daily to see what is going on. You all do a great job. And it is much appreciated.
When it happens, we can pin some blame squarely on the government. When they failed to charge Jihad Johnny with treason, they did our country a great disservice.
Thanks for the clarification LB! Much appreciated. I remember that threat. Hope it was just another empty one.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - A prominent Islamic scholar who exhorted his followers after the Sept. 11 attacks to join the Taliban and fight U.S. troops was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.
Ali al-Timimi of Fairfax was convicted in April of soliciting others to levy war against the United States, inducing others to aid the Taliban, and inducing others to use firearms in violation of federal law.
The cleric addressed the court for 10 minutes before his sentencing. "I will not admit guilt nor seek the court's mercy. I do this simply because I am innocent," al-Timimi said.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Gordon Kromberg said al-Timimi "hates the United States" and has called for its destruction. "He's allowed to do that in this country," Kromberg said. "He's not allowed to solicit treason. He deserves every day he gets."....

Moscow Developer: Europe's Largest Skyscraper Will Be Safe From 9-11 Style Terror Attacks (7/13/05)
MOSCOW (AP) - The developer for a Moscow skyscraper billed as Europe's tallest vowed Wednesday that state-of-the-art construction and design methods would make it safe from terrorist airplane attacks like those that destroyed the World Trade Center in New York....
"The pillars would cut through the plane, and that is all," said Sergei Polonsky, president of Mirax Group, describing the building's resilience to a Sept. 11-style terror attack on a press tour Wednesday.
"Regardless of how many planes hit it, it won't fall down," he said, standing in the shadow of one of the partially completed, reinforced concrete pillars ringing the perimeter of tower B, the smaller of the two....
Today In History - July 13, 2005:
In 1979, a 45-hour siege by Palestinian guerrillas began at the Egyptian Embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
One year ago: A confidant of Osama bin Laden (Khaled bin Ouda bin Mohammed al-Harby) surrendered to Saudi diplomats in Iran and was flown to Saudi Arabia.
(McKinney, TX) - All Collin County government offices are closing following today's transmission pipeline failure at the North Texas Municpal Water District's Water Treatment Plant. Most Collin County cities and towns are affected by this break. All Collin County government offices will remain closed for the rest of today.
According to the NTMWD, action is underway to restore partial service to affected communities. Repairs are underway and once the pipeline damage is assessed, system repair time can be estimated.
The local news said that the affected cities have about 8 hours of water reserves, but that the repairs could take 24 hours and it woujld likely be the weekend before the reserves were restored.
Thanks for that report Vortex.

Stepped Up Patrols Continue on Trains, Buses
http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0705/243021.html
Washington (AP) - D.C. Police Chief Charles Ramsey says the stepped up security measures on local railways and buses continue after the bombings in London last week.
Ramsey tells reporters that further meetings will take place between area transportation officials and law enforcement to make sure all steps are being taken to keep people safe on public transportation.
Evidence in London is indicating four suicide bombers may be responsible for last Thursday's attacks. Ramsey says "it's not a surprise" but is new for that part of the world.
Two militant Islamic groups have claimed responsibility for the bombings, which killed at least 52 people and injured hundreds more on three subway trains and a bus.
