US security sources said yesterday that this third group of would-be bombers met at Finsbury Park mosque in North London, where some of the July 7 terrorists are also known to have stayed. There are reports that this team originally planned to strike last Thursday, which is why more than 6,000 police, half of them armed, were present at Underground stations. Scotland Yard said at the time that this exercise, the biggest since the Second World War, was to test their resources and reassure a nervous public.
Fires:
Redwood City, Calif. police want help, 5 fires set in apartment complexes.
Red Rock Park and area, out of Las Vegas, several fires, at

No Al-Qaeda role in Red Sea attack
From correspondents in Washington
01-08-2005
From: Agence France-Presse
EGYPTIAN Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif said overnight there was no evidence so far linking the Al-Qaeda terror network
to the recent deadly bombings at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
"Egypt has been the subject of a lot of terrorist acts. And they haven't been related to Al-Qaeda in any way in the past. So it
would be a new thing if we see Al-Qaeda working in Egypt," Nazif told CNN.
Nazif also rejected a Washington Times editorial that said there was a "dangerous al Qaeda network in the Sinai." The
editorial, which cites the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz, said Osama bin Laden's network "has managed to set up a dangerous
terrorist infrastructure in the Sinai, apparently with weapons and explosives smuggled in from Saudi Arabia."
"It's not accurate at all. I don't see even any proof or actual facts that would say that this is true," Nazif told CNN. "There is,
so far, no evidence whatsoever of Al-Qaeda involvement" in the July 23 Sharm el-Sheikh attacks that left 67 dead and in
another bombing in October in Taba, further north on the Sinai coast.
"We cannot say that, not in the Taba case, not in the Sharm el-Sheikh case," he said.
Three groups, two of them citing ties with Al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the Sharm el-Sheikh attacks, but the
authenticity of the statements could not be verified.
one thing that really crossed my mind is that isn't a plan of theirs called Order #8 and it's the 8th month now???
my ohshiii factor just went up.

DUTCH CITIZEN CHARGED IN TERRORISM CONSPIRACY
AGAINST AMERICANS IN IRAQ
WASHINGTON, D.C. - An Iraqi-born Dutch citizen has been charged by criminal complaint with participating in a conspiracy to attack Americans based in Iraq, the Department of Justice announced today.
The criminal complaint, filed at U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia on Wednesday, July 27, charges Wesam Al Delaema, a/k/a Wesam Khalaf Chayed Delaeme, with four counts: conspiracy to kill U.S. citizens abroad; conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction (explosives); possession of a destructive device (explosives) during a crime of violence; and conspiracy to possess a destructive device (explosives) during a crime of violence. These are the first U.S. criminal charges connected to terrorist activities in Iraq.
Delaema, 32, was born in Fallujah, Iraq. He was arrested by Dutch law enforcement authorities on May 2, 2005 and was facing similar charges in that country. Since his arrest, Dutch law enforcement and prosecution authorities have worked cooperatively with the FBI in its investigation of Delaemas alleged terrorist activities. On Wednesday night, the United States informed the Dutch authorities of its intention to request Delaemas extradition to face the charges filed here. Today in court in the Netherlands, Dutch authorities announced that Delaema had been transferred into extradition custody in response to the request from the United States.
The criminal complaint alleges that Delaema traveled from the Netherlands to Iraq in October 2003, with a group of co-conspirators calling themselves the Fighters of Fallujah, who declared their intentions to kill Americans in Iraq using explosives. The complaint further alleges that Delaema and his co-conspirators hid explosives and detonating cords in a road in the area of Fallujah, Iraq.
We use all the tools available to us to ensure that justice is brought to those who seek to kill Americans serving and working in Iraq, said John C. Richter, Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Departments Criminal Division. In this case, thanks to the valuable assistance provided by our Dutch allies, this man will be held accountable for his actions.
This prosecution serves notice that we will make full use of the laws and resources of our criminal justice system to defend Americans, and particularly members of our armed forces, against terrorist insurgents in Iraq and elsewhere, said U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Wainstein of the District of Columbia. We thank the Dutch authorities for their tremendous cooperation, and we look forward to working closely with them to ensure that justice is done in this case.
The FBI has aggressively investigated this matter and certainly desires to see Wesam Khalaf Chayed Delaeme come before the bar of justice for his plans to kill Americans in Iraq, said Michael A. Mason, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBIs Washington Field Office. Terrorists will continually seek to thwart the efforts of law enforcement and intelligence communities by maintaining a high level of mobility. It is only through the leverage of international cooperation that such individuals can be assured of having to answer for their crimes.
The investigation into this matter was conducted by the FBIs Washington Field Office, with assistance from the Dutch National Police Agency, the National Office of the Public Prosecutor in the Netherlands and the Office of International Affairs in the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. The prosecutors handling the case are Justice Department Trial Attorney Gregg N. Sofer of the Counterterrorism Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregg A. Maisel of the U.S. Attorneys Office for the District of Columbia.
If convicted on the charges filed in the criminal complaint filed today, Delaema faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
A criminal complaint is merely a formal charge that a defendant violated a criminal law. All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Youth wing of UK Muslim group calls for jihad
Here I go again, reporting on what jihadists are saying and doing. Don't I know that calling attention to such activity makes moderate Muslims angry?
I anxiously await Sir Iqbal Sacranie's response to this, and his unveiling of a comprehensive program to convert jihadists to Islamic moderation. I am confident that we will be getting this any day now -- right, Iqbal? Iqbal? Anyone?
From The Independent via the New Zealand Herald, with thanks to Designnut:
Children as young as 11 are being targeted by radical Muslims who appear to have infiltrated a mainstream Muslim website, The Independent on Sunday can reveal. Literature aimed at children between 11 and 18 on the youth section of the Islamic Society of Britain (ISB) website calls on them to "boycott those who openly wage war against Allah".
The article containing that quote, entitled "Imam Hassan al-Banna on jihad", goes on to say: "Jihad is a powerful invigorating yearning for Islam's might and glory ... which makes you cry when looking at the weakness of Muslims today and the humiliating tragedies crushing him to death everywhere. "
Jihad is to be a soldier for Allah. When the bugle calls ... you should be the first to answer the call to join the ranks for jihad."
Other articles on atheism and secularism appear to be against integration. One article is entitled "Zionism, a black historical record", and another, "Israel simply has no right to exist". The ISB immediately disowned this content after being informed of it by the IoS, and promised to remove it.
Mmm hmmm.

Morning Cindy. Can't sleep.
Why do I feel like I'm going to be saying that a lot this month?
King Fahd is dead.
This makes me uneasy.
Well now, don't worry about anything because worrying won't help.
Go outside and look at the stars, come back in and you'll be able to sleep.
Oh.
He died, huh?
Well, let me get off the French stuff and head over to the ME.
Good advice.
Thanks.
Trying not to get sidetracked and looking for Fahd, but found this:
