Dr. Coburns Statement on Supreme Court Vacancy (WASHINGTON, D.C.) U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, today released the following statement regarding the resignation of Supreme Court Associate Justice Sandra Day OConnor.
I would hope that President Bushs nominee will swing the court back toward the Constitution and away from an era of self-indulgent judicial activism. Justice OConnors replacement should apply the law, not attempt to re-write it from the bench, Dr. Coburn said.

And whats great about that is...He probably wasn't even trying to make her look like a fool! When you are as smart as he is..it just comes naturally.
Yea i'd love to see an Allen-Coburn ticket.
Yeah I also love George Allen.
Dr. Coburn also supports putting armed guards on the border and aircraft.
bttt
Is there something wrong with your website? I accessed it from your FR Homepage and I get a page trying to sell me some kind of pills or caplets or something. What's up with that?
Yeah a long time ago we used to have it osurepublicans.com
Now its changed to
http://www.orgs.okstate.edu/collegerep
It should work now
OK, good. I was afraid you'd been hacked. It's just the link on your FR Homepage that needs to be changed.
Good then we'd have two senators who support securing the border since Allen's pretty strong on the border as well
I wish my senators were as cool as yours, im stuck with DiFi and Babs.
Thanks for the ping! Cannot wait to see him in the judiciary hearings on the SCOTUS nominations. That should be interesting!
Yup. Looks good.
Did you get the word that our head of all OK College Republicans this past year, Nat Harding, was just elected to 1st Vice President of CR's nationwide. First time an Oklahoman CR has held that position.
We got the word at the GOP Night at the Ballpark.
Coburn ought to have taken it a step further and called for Bush to nullify the SCOTUS decision by refusing to enforce it anywhere in America using Federal resources. The ruling is an unconstitutional violation of the 10th Amendment, and it should be rejected by Bush outright. For the W.H. to simply say "the Court has spoken" is an outrageous abdication of Executive power.
Wow I never thought of it that way. Somebody should pass this along.
I did hear about that.
