Motor gasoline, along w/crude, was very sharply bid last week due to the anticipation of many traders of possible damage to production/refining facilities courtesy of hurricane Dennis. Now that Dennis has passed by w/very little damage and shutin, and w/no other immediate storm threat in sight, this week should see prices well lower; indeed, in overnight ACCESS trading on NYMEX, front-month gasoline is down more than 4 cents as I write this.

Naturally, those gas stations that took delivery of new product this past week will keep their prices up until the high(est)-price inventory is sold, figure another 2-4 days, depending on location and sales volume.

" Lets remind the Post about inflicted wounds by liberals towards energy pricing.
Blocked, stopped oil drilling in Alaska for years and some more."

Haven't you learned? Only Limousine Liberals chauffeur driven autos and airplanes can afford unlimited gasoline hikes. They're going to take things away from us (thanks Hillary) for the good of us all ie., mass transit is for the herded masses. Elitists know whats best for the children.

One of my clients owns a chrysler dealership and the SUV sales have really hit the skids. Chrysler is coming out with the emplpyee discount program also and they hope they can get rid of the overabundance of suv's they have.

Anyone notice that the pump prices rise within 24 hours of crude prices going up but take about 10 days to reflect a drop in those same crude prices?

What makes you say that? Do you not have a car or do you bike everywhere.

I have a van, truck, car, motorcycle and bicycle. The bicycle is my favorite vehicle. I have 9600 miles on it over 5 years time. I loathe the waste I see in the name of "safety" or "American manliness". Excess is excess and it's not a good thing.

Green on the outside and red on the inside???

If not liking waste makes one green in your opinion, then you have a right to that opinion. If you think not liking waste makes one a commie, then you have a right to think that too. If too many Republicans held that opinion, I'd leave the party.

Thank you SAJ!  It's all Greek to me.  Read one article and gas and oil is through the roof.  Then on down the page, crude is holding it's own.  I think it's all mind games. heh!

Thanks again!

..mind games galore!

On the todays noon newscast, two network news broadcast had the same crazy bull.

In the span of the same 1/2 broadcast they both claimed the rising cost of gasoline was because of the rising cost of oil & minutes later said the stock market was going up due the falling price of oil.

They just don't care anymore, spit right in our faces with lies and crap.
