Only in America.
If they buy a home here, they are at least investing in OUR COUNTRY. More of the money they earn will stay here. Ownership of private property is also one of the things that sometimes helps a liberal grow into a conservative. I'm not going to get my lacies in a rope about this one.
Government corruption. Heads should roll, but no one is accountable.
---Like Mitchell Bank, the housing authority uses the IRS-issued tax-registration number, the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, or ITIN, instead of a Social Security number, which illegal immigrants generally cannot obtain. In 1997, the IRS started issuing ITINs to foreigners who arent eligible for a Social Security number to encourage them to file an income-tax return, regardless of immigration status. As of December 2004, the IRS had issued 8 million such numbers.---
I was wondering about this. So, the IRS has been encouraging the exodus of illegal workers into this country! Who needs enemies?
I said: "Cash flow IS God!"
Conclusion: We agree.
Comment: Left out of economic thinking are thoughts as to the social, cultural and political ramifications of fostering the illegal invasion. "Those who can think only economically are forever victims of those who don't..."-A Great Historian 1922
"Statement: "...Javier and Araceli Garcia, illegal immigrants from Mexico, never imagined that the U.S. government would help them buy a home..."
If you had any doubts that the government does not care about the illegal problem all this should convince you. To buy my house last year I had to jump through more hoops then a circus poodle for my VA loan. And illegals can buy houses? Geez!
He takes the money, puts it in his pocket, moves out, and gets new fake ID under a different name. The bank(s) now get a home that is worth less than the loans against it.
*bump* to a very good speech by Dick Lamm. Thanks for posting it.
Please thank whoever sent you that email. Gov. Lamm hit the nail on the head. I can't believe that this is happening under a Republican administration. : (
No thanks necessary. It just seemed appropriate here.
FreeRepublic is more important than ever in protecting America.
" In Arizona, legislators passed a bill in May to bar illegal immigrants from English classes, child care and other state-subsidized services. The governor vetoed it."
Nice going Napolitano. With that veto you pretty much signed away any chance we will be stupid enough to put a Democrat in the Govoners Mansion again. Unless the dems can get ALOT more illegals in and voting....Dems are toast in AZ.
So much for the oft-repeated claim that these immigrants don't want to assimilate.

On days like today, it seems as if FR is the last line of defense against the erosion of American security and sovereignty. Our leaders have sold us out. The FDIC is controlled by Administration appointees.
It was my brother who lives in Colorado. I don't like spam from my family and/or friends and usually delete it, but this seemed to be something worth passing on.
I'll pass on the thanks of the FReepers. maybe he will join...;o]
======================
I posted about 10 months ago the statements of a realtor, that even then, the illegals were literally propping up the entry level home owner market. Several posters replied and dismissed this as pap and questioned my realtor friend's professional status.
I quess it wasn't really so far fetched. I believe that one can contact Jess Katz on KNEW radio as he too has been expounding on this for months.
Coming soon to a neighborhood near you. Illegal residents living three families to a home. Financed by your local bank. While the laundry is hung on the bushes to dry the kids will grab the cans of blue spray paint and slogans of Mexican rhetoric will decorate the sidewalks and fences. If you own property there sell it fast.
"...The FDIC is controlled by Administration appointees."
Which is probably why I don't use a bank...
