Air America OUTRAGE: One of the most terrible things a host could say ...

I saw this on a blog (alanskorski.blogspot.com), but I had to hear it myself to believe it. On the Thursday (July 7, 2005) episode of Air America's "The Majority Report" with Sam Seder and Janeane Garofalo, Sam Seder introduced an audio clip of Brit Hume by saying this:
"Let's go to Brit Hume, the horrible scumbag, who many people consider somewhat responsible for the fact that his son committed suicide."
The link above is to the audio of the entire Thursday show. The remark is about 10-20% of the way into the show. (If anyone knows how to record, isolate, and post the clip ... I don't.)
I understand political disagreements with people, but what a thoughtless, horrible thing to say about somebody.

the left is sick & twisted - an expected side effect from being filled with hate

Good to know that Brit is hitting on their nerve. And if he ever hears this comment was made - I hope he will consider the source.....which is from deep within the hell of Seder's own making.

you dont seem to understand the nature of the left. they are by nature thoughtless and heartless. these are the same people who defend suicide bombers. It is difficult to go lower than that.

Hmmmm?? It was my understanding that Brit somewhat blamed the MEDIA for his son's suicide. I also heard it had something to do with Brit leaving the democrat party.
As usual .. the ugly leftists project upon the right the very evil the leftists performed.

And another thing ... Could you imagine the media outrage if a Rush or Sean or O'Reilly had said anything even remotely like this? (Not that they ever would, but you get the point.)

Janeane Garofalo? Is this twit still around? I'm waiting for her to complete her crawl on all fours to DC because Bush got re-elected.

I also heard it had something to do with Brit leaving the democrat party. Brit is a former Democrat? I didn't know that.

What a horrible, hateful comment.
No wonder I despise those people.
To: infoguy
I am glad that Janeane's career has skyrocketed to the point of being a cohost on an obscure, near obsolete radio show.

Liberals are miserable people. They don't have a righteous bone in their entire body.
They wonder why no one pays any attention to them, and why Air America is such a flop. Who wants to hear screaming liberal hate 24/7 other than rabid liberals?
Air America throws them rotten red meat, and they just gobble it up.

I find it difficult to think ANY responsible advertisers advertise on ErrAmerika. They basically say any left wing kook theory, slander (as in legally actionable) made up emotional attack.
I have not heard anything but low ratings and constant begging for money.
Are they still operating in the red?
To: infoguy
They should talk...Listening to Gar-awful-o would make me slit my wrists.

I don't give a rip if this was Air America, Scare America or two guys talking on tin cans, this is inexcusable behavior.
If Rush or Sean or anyone on conservative talk radio said this, Sulzberger would plaster this all over the front page of his rag, and Clinton, Kennedy and the far left would be calling for that persons head. More importantly, if it was proven to be true, I would expect OUR side to be equally outraged.
We may not have a true "liberal bias" in the media, as some claim, but having crap like this pass by uncommented upon shows that some people are more equal than others.
