Thanks! I'm here.
I've been watching since this morning. The Governor seems pretty calm. He seems to feel that he has the team in place. What's it like right now?
Hurricane Dennis exploded today back to Category 3/4 status at this time.
Prayers and good wishes to our families and FRiends in Dennis' path.
Please keep graphics posts to a minimum--keeping in mind that folks may lose their broadband access during the storm and will need to rely on dial-up.
I always have to rely on dial up storm or no.
good work, nn
Thanks for your work on these threads. I'm safe at home here in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and after I cook dinner and clean up the kitchen, I plan to come back and stay on this thread until the hurricane hits. I'm still waiting to hear if I will have guests evacuating from New Orleans.

Hitting us pretty hard here in Ga as well already. Very tornado looking sky and wind. I was packing for a trip and looked out and the trees in back (just in back) were bent almost to the ground.
auburn alabama girl checking into this thread.
I am a little concerned that the storm was upgraded but overall I am more worried about our british cousins!
Bump for when I get back.

Okay, I'm paranoid, but I was just looking at this link and it almost looks like the eye jogs back to the east in the last frame.
Do I need glasses, LOL?

I'm riding the storm out here in Destin, FL. about 60 miles east of projected landfall. If your interested in current conditions here, I'll be online for as long as the power is on. It's gonna be a great ride and I'm glad your NOT here as that is one of the few silver linings to Dennis' clouds. Personally, it's extremly nice getting a reprieve from the whiney, traffic clogging, and demanding tourists during the peak of tourist season. But, the main reason I'm still here is that there is nothing like feeling the hand and breath of God himself. It ain't Dennis'
Bump!
We're experiencing the top bands now, here in central Georgia. All the way up to Atlanta.
Thanks for the thread! Prayers for those in the Pensacola - Mobile area.

I've got a condo at Pinnacle Port/Panama City Beach. Hoping for the best.
The wind blew the welcome mat and trash can around, but the two cats like being out when it's raining and windy. They were also out for every storm that came through last year, if they don't get scared why should I?
