Why is it that the NE quad of a hurricane has the highest winds? I understand why it's the most destructive in terms of storm surge. That's simple. But I don't understand the mechanism that makes winds there stronger than in any other quad.

The easternuswx.com server has been a little strained from the direct posting of images as well, if you want to post images saved there... please right click and post a link to the image instead of the image itself. I don't want to see the admin turn off outside viewing of images, if possible. ;)
