wow just woke up.. 932 MB...someone mentoned its unsymmetrical now..well not really the central "doughnut" is still symmetrical it looks like deep cnvection has fired on the far right side is all..it may be expanding to the right is all...in other words growing larger
To: Howlin; Revel
Breaking news, eh? Then you all need to have the zillion mega pixel graphics deleted as they are posted. I'm going into early retirement after this.

This could be worse then andrew damage wise...Andrew jogged south and missed miami..and hit the less populated areas just south and then moved into the swamps..i assume mobile has a bigger population then the south suburbs of miami..and likley weaker building codes too
To: janetjanet998
Yeah, the central core is fine... It was a bit less symmetrical an hour ago, more of a tilt though, rather than a lopsided core.

when that convection blob wraps around it should jog to the west like it did yesterday when that happened

With half a million coastal Americans evacuated after at least 32 die in the Caribbean, it looks like Dennis is going to be Ivan II.
This is just the first of a list of potential deadly hurricanes for the 2005 season.

Western side seems to be getting its act together, moderate symmetry returning to the storm.
