The Archbishop and the others can go to hell. I plan to do a few days auxiliary observation with the Minutemen out at Belleaire and Hillcroft- and God help any of those weasels that are foolish enough to get in my face or give me grief over it

Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza said the Minutemen would not be welcome in Houston.
"We stand against any attempts of outsiders to come into Houston to abuse and intimidate our illegal immigrant communities," Fiorenza said in a statement issued Friday.

The Houston Police Department held a meeting with the supporters of lawlessness where they promised that they would not enforce the law. Seems that people who complain about illegals trespassing and damaging property will not have the support of our police department. I guess that means we no longer have to support the police department.

Illegal RC's must be good tithers.
Illegals + mostly from Latin America + most of Latin America is Catholic + church needs the money ... even for a liberal arts guy the math isn't too complicated.
As for the cops, I wouldn't be too surprised if the rank and file aren't secretly cheering the Minutemen on. It's not the cops' fault the chief is a quota black and the INS has better things to do than round up illegals in Houston. No reason to pull the 100 Club decals just yet.
Wasn't Fiorenza involved in the pedophile cover-up in some way? My memory seems to want to connect his name with it for some reason.

Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza said the Minutemen would not be welcome in Houston. The good bishop's tirade notwithstanding, the Minutemen will indeed be welcomed by good, conservative people that love America and prefer to punish lawbreakers.

NBC had a police spokesman on last night. He said it was
not the HPD's problem to deal with illegals, that illegals fall under a
FEDERAL agency, and that agency has to deal with the issues of illegals.
If they know someone is breaking the law, Federal or state, or county, or city, they must try to stop the person, right??? Am I missing something???

Just a little something on the methods used by Fioranza in his coddling of Criminal Homosexual Priests and the subsequent rape of Children..
He now "wants to move On"
This was taken from the Bishops accountability website.
"Those allegations and similar ones forced Father Holley out of his home diocese of Worcester and led to a series of transfers in the Southwest, the correspondence shows.
In 1982, Bishop Joseph A. Fiorenza wrote that he knew of Father Holley's "past difficulties" and stated: "With our shortage of priests, I am willing to risk incardinating him" - which means formally making him a priest of the Diocese of San Angelo, Texas.
At the time, Bishop Fiorenza headed that diocese. Today, he governs the Diocese of Galveston-Houston and, as vice president of the national bishops group, is expected to become president next year.
Bishop Fiorenza, 66, declined interview requests, saying through spokesman Ron Regan that he didn't want to revisit old traumas. "The church needs to move beyond this," Mr. Regan said Thursday . "

"For every Minuteman patrolling, we will have at least 10 people patrolling them," said Maria Jimenez, a longtime local activist now associated with the Central American Resource Center, or CRECEN."
Doesn't matter, the job will still be done. And I would videotape the ten following them around for good measure. See how many scatter/hide their faces!!
"Jimenez and CRECEN leader Teodoro Aguiluz threatened to file a lawsuit if they observe the Minutemen doing anything illegal."
As opposed to ILLEGALLY invading our country, which doesn't seem to count!
"We will respond to your organization with our organization," Jimenez said to the Minutemen. "We're not shy about it."
And neither are we! And the increased publicity only aids the Minutemen's cause!! Bring it on!!! LOL!!
"The advocates have called on the city to officially "disinvite" the Minutemen, but city leaders say that is unlikely. The mayor has said he does not see the need to pass an official resolution on the subject, and City Councilman Adrian Garcia said it would be hard to promote such a measure without mayoral support."
How about "disinviting" the ILLEGAL invaders? Again, there is no bad publicity!!
"Jimenez estimated that there are 50 informal labor markets in Houston where day laborers gather looking for work from contractors. She said pro-immigrant groups would have at least 10 observers at each site."
Good! That will point out the areas to focus on for people that don't live in the area!
"One of the sites is just down the street from the CRECEN office, at the corner of Bellaire and Hillcroft, where dozens of workers gather every morning looking for work.
A city-funded day labor site is in the area, but the vast majority of workers prefer to seek work in the streets.
Some of those workers said Friday that they worry about the Minutemen.
"It's like racism," said one, who identified himself only as Juan. "All we want is a chance to survive."
Well, either "survive" in your own country, or emmigrate legally. Those are the choices. There is no racism involved. If the majority of illegal ivaders happen to be Mexicans, then so be it. I don't think we would be any happier if they were Chinese, Russians or Canadians (all countries that have control of their borders by the way).
America would like to survive as well, and it can't with porous borders and a steady flow of invaders.

The Minuteman leader said those who want to join his organization must go through an extensive background check, which includes looking not only for criminal history but also for things like white-supremacist tendencies.
Sounds like any business statement regarding the vetting of their prospective employees.

With all due respect Fiorenza can kiss my arse! I'm GLAD the Minutemen are coming here. If the gooberment won't take care of the problem and the damn politicians just sit on their butts and TALK about it......well, SOMEBODY has to do something! If they ever get around my area, I'll fix em' meals and beverages......so there!

But Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza said the Minutemen would not be welcome in Houston.
"We stand against any attempts of outsiders to come into Houston to abuse and intimidate our immigrant communities," Fiorenza said in a statement issued Friday.
Separately, immigrant rights organizations announced that they would fight fire with fire by forming an organization to counteract the Minutemen.
"For every Minuteman patrolling, we will have at least 10 people patrolling them," said Maria Jimenez, a longtime local activist now associated with the Central American Resource Center, or CRECEN.
Jimenez and CRECEN leader Teodoro Aguiluz threatened to file a lawsuit if they observe the Minutemen doing anything illegal."

Who is this guy think he is.
He certainly doesn't speak for all of Texas and certainly not for Houston.
This guy needs to stick to saving souls and get out of trying to break laws and possibly get people hurt and maybe many Americans killed in another 9-11 incident, with his arrogant attitude.
REPLY:
All I can say is the turds are rising to the top in the illegal immigration sewer.
I hope they do send ten watchers for every minuteman.
I just hope those watchers who are doing the watching are not illegals themselves.
If I was the Border Patrol I would be checking identification and making arrests.
These illegals and their supporters sure have brass balls to come right out with a bunch of immature one upsmanship.
I can guarantee you, many of these misguided people only have a stake in this watching business to broaden their voting base and American laws be damned.
The Hispanics that live around me think illegal immigration needs to be stopped and right now.
