If they don't want us there, I'm sure North Korea would be willing to fill the empty space...

It's important. And I can't blame them for saying this publicly. They are on the front lines of action from the North.

Roh Moo Hyun is a commie appeaser. At least that's what I hear from a friend of mine who is from South Korea. She immigrated here (legally!) 10 years ago but still keeps in touch with family-her whole family hates this creep.

Maybe it's just a convenient location to defend the Japanese who soon should be able to deend themselves.

Since an attack is unlikely he's just playing to his own audience. If a real reason for an attack arises he'll change his tune.

I would recommend we start to redeploy out of South Korea. If this president or his party are reelected, we should be gone permanently.

South Korea can make its best deal with the North and with China, and they'll have to live with it. We've generally stood by countries that wanted to be free. But if, in their minds, we're the problem, then they are ready to leave the nest. Its time for us to back away and let them.

They figure to go back to "one" Korea one day.

This should not come as a surprise, and it's actually very old news. South Korea knows that the "cost" of U.S. military action against North Korea may very well be the annihilation of Seoul in a North Korean nuclear attack, and I can understand why they would think that way.

This is nothing more than MAD (mutually-assured destruction) applied throught a third party.

Time to pull our troops. They are not wanted and will not be allowed to act in America's best interests. Start packing boys.

We need to sabotage the bases we evacuate in South Korea as we wipe North Korea from the map (and maybe have a couple of bunker-busters get lost in the vicinity of the presidential compund in Seoul).

Pull all our troops out of that ungrateful POS country right now. We have plenty of partners in Asia who would love to have our protection and American dollars. Screw the S. Koreans!!

TODAY, begin redeployment of ALL US troops along the Korean DMZ to the US borders! 35,000 soldiers is just about right to seal 'um up tight!

More insanity, but somehow I don't see the South Koreans turning their guns on our military. This is probably great bulletin board fodder at the Pentagon.

We won't leave S. Korea - not for their sake, but for ours.

As China becomes more wealthy and influential, I would expect to see other nations in its vicinity moving into China's sphere of influence.

It's OUR national security. The South Koreans don't have a horse in this race.
