(Barf Alert) Karla Homolka- A Serial Killer Afraid of Abandonment
Canada Free Press ^ | Friday, July 8, 2005 | K.L. Marsala

Posted on 07/08/2005 7:56:57 AM PDT by Alexander Rubin

Karla Homolka, one of Canada’s best known serial killers, has been released from prison after serving twelve years for participating in the rapes and murders of 15-year-old Kristen French and 14-year-old Leslie Mahaffy in the early 90s. Add to her two other convictions the roll she played in the raping, and murder of her own sister, Tammy, who was offered as a "virgin" Christmas present to her fiancé Paul Bernado.

Poor Karla: no one understands this troubled young woman. Karla was raised in a nice middle-class family, had a wonderful childhood, with no abuse, nor anything adverse occurring during her growing up years, thusly leaving her wide open to becoming the perfect playmate for Paul Berando.

Karla’s future husband began his rampage of raping girls back in May of 1987. He met Karla, then 17, in October of 1987 at a restaurant, two hours later they were having sex in their hotel room.

Now there's a new low.

I've seen several specials about her's and Bernardo's crimes and everytime I can't get this thought out of my mind: "how can such a lovely girl be so f----- up?"

Canada is a mess -- these two belong UNDER the jail.

Well, Bernardo is in jail for life. Multiple life sentences, solitary cell (he has to be kept separate from the other prisoners because they want to kill him, and throw feces at him).

Karla did a plea bargain deal (before her role was fully known) and got off after 11. She also has a new boyfriend now, another killer who strangled his girlfriend. This was after her other killer lover, a woman murderer in the prison she was living in.

She seems to be attracted to psychopaths...

The video tapes of the girls who were raped and murdered are overlooked by the police after a 71- day investigation of their home in St. Catharines, Ont.

If Paul Bernardo is given life in prison, at least he spend his life in jail - with his penis encased in concrete.

Watch your slurs of my country. The tapes were well hidden, as it happens, and American police make mistakes all the time too. All humans do.

Many of us Canadians don't admire our country very much at all either. And no personal offence taken. But slurs of our policemen are a different matter. Not that I think offence was intended, but still.

Separate Canada from Canadian individuals, however. Canada may be lost, but there are still some strong, proud Canadians out there. Like yours truly and many of the FReepers around.

No offence taken, then. But there is still much about Canada to be admired. A little dirt, or a lot, just means some cleaning is in order.

I still admire my country. Just not everythign about it. But when I look at the big picture, I still see something worth saving.

"Serial killer?" She was involved in *two* murders. *Two* makes a serial killer?

Three. And four (or five) rapes and tortures. Also, one of the murders/rapes/tortures was her sister. She offered her as a Christmas present to her husband.

It is simple. She had all the advantages to set a good trajectory for her life but she CHOSE EVIL. Evil is enticing, it seems attractive, and it is much easier than having moral standards. All you have to understand is that she CHOSE another way.

The psychopaths can be very charming. Must have eyes open, be 'wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove.'

I have always loved to visit Canada. Canadians have always been very nice to me from Banff to Charlottetown. But your reluctance to hand over brutal American murderers and serial killers (Chang et al)who flee to your country for refuge certainly irritates us.

That's fine if you you don't want to execute your killers, but at least send them back here for justice. Which only leads to the question of why you'd want them running around your country anyway??? Until we called your extradition bluff on Chang, he was set to be YOUR next national poster boy on torture and murder of Canadian citizens.
